  1. Do please let me know what you think, when you've had a chance to audition them.
  2. Not sure why it's taken me quite so long to discover the Xotic BB drive on the B1-4! Anyway here's a Xotic BB patch plus a dirty analogue chorus featuring the same drive, which seems to work well: Xotic BB [AK-Dri].zb1f AnalChoDri [AK-Mod].zb1f (also posted in the patch library in the OP for ease of future reference).
  3. Haha! My second comment was pretty much a duplicate of my first... Is this now your favourite filter of all time?
  4. Not cheap! 2.4 Ghz - I thought I read earlier in the thread that was sub optimal, but I'm not entirely clear from the comments what is "optimal"!
  5. It's my pleasure to start a feedback thread for Bob. I've just bought a pedal off Bob, which came very well packaged and was in the mint condition described in his ad. Communications were excellent throughout and it was a very smooth transaction. I'd have no hesitation in dealing with Bob again. Cheers, Bas
  6. Fixed - now that's impolite for you! 😁 ^^very true
  7. Sorry, I missed your post. Yup, open to discussing trades - drop me a PM with what you've got.
  8. How would you classify Chuck Berry and Elvis?
  9. I suspect Taylor Swift will still be around and playing when Flea is sitting comfortably in his OAP home, and her audiences will age and continue to follow her. Just as we have done with the current crop of aging rockers.
  10. Off the top of my head: Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran and Dua Lipa. IMO they would all easily outsell RHCP today. In the late 90s (say 1998) they were 5, 9, 7 and 3 years old respectively. Ok not rock bands but superstars with backing groups. But why doesn't that count?
  11. I had exactly the same experience with the Delanos on my Sandberg being too "polite". +1 for Nordstrands as a very rude set of pups. EMG 40s on my Spector are a real treat too.
  12. It's a shame that the FI "v3" unit was just a paint job i.e. the hardware is otherwise identical to the FI "v1". That's still causing confusion with bassists today who are surprised that they are both the same unit and possibly a missed op? However, I appreciate that the software and manual release that accompanied it were a big step forward at the time. Sounds like it would be worth waiting to see what SA have in store before jumping back in then.
  13. Be super cool if Andras followed suit. Smaller housing, improved Boss RC-5 type display and uprated chip set so that it's not maxed out would all be excellent and keep his product in the game.
  14. Glad it wasn't 6kHz cap on the filter then 😁
  15. I've never really understood why Andras didn't go for a more compact housing. He said to me that not many bass players had made this comment to him, so he didn't see it as a priority. But it seems an obvious thing to do, given many bass players' desire to maximise the use of their PB real estate (and the considerable demand for @GisserD's more compact housing). However, the work that @Quatschmacher and the FI team have put in over the last couple of years on the software has been superb! The original interface was a PITA and very off putting - but it has been transformed out of recognition and the same can be said about the manual and I'm seriously tempted to give the FI another go. A smaller form factor and updated chipset (I think the FI came out in Dec 2015 Future Impact - YouTube ) - ideally with a better on-pedal UI / display , would make it a complete no-brainer.
  16. That's interesting to hear, please elaborate!
  17. Looks and sounds good, thanks for sharing Dan. Shame that the HPF and LPF are not also available on clean by-pass, that would have added another really useful string to this pedal's bow!
  18. My first Ibanez was an SR1800, which your model superceded, and I currently have the 5 string version: the SR1825. Brilliant basses. GLWTS!
  19. Ben is keen on joining the BB family (or possibly adding to his previous collection!) Yamaha BB434 - Items Wanted (NO TRADES) - Basschat If you have one going spare or spot one in your travels then please drop him a line.
  20. Does that sound like anyone we know talking to his missus?😁
  21. That's frustrating, but fair enough eh? I mean people having a life on a Saturday night, what is the world coming to? 😁
  22. "The UK Health Security Agency's Dr Jenny Harries said: 'Cases are rising rapidly across the country and the Delta variant is now dominant... It is encouraging to see that hospitalisations and deaths are not rising at the same rate.'" "The continued decline in Covid deaths means the virus is now the 24th 'leading' cause of death, down from ninth last month." Vaccines work.
  23. Well the missus has been persuaded, so I think I just might be joining her! Colchester here we come 😁
