1. I've just had to learn around 20 songs for a new band. My three favourites are Skunk Anansie - Hedonism Muse - Time Is Running Out Kasabian - Fire
 2. How does this work. I put my name down for the other cab and never got a chance with it. I'd love to try out a Barefaced Cab as I'm in the market for a new cab. Put my name down please.........I'm in Swindon.
 3. I reckon that's a very fair price, it shouldn't hang around for too long. Great amp.

 5.
I've got an Eden WT800A which simply is not getting used since the arrival of my Ampeg. A little bit of history: I bought this amp second hand around 4 years ago ish; some time after i had a problem where both speakers cut out momentarily and then came back on again within a minute or so. The amp came back on and never faultered for some time-at this time i was using 2x4ohm cabs on both channels. Then i used the Eden pretty much every week on the bridged 8ohm output using a 6ohm Warwick cab (this was ok'd by Eden to run a 6ohm cab but no lower)-it ran great and very loud without a hitch. Then i did the Markbass thing 18 months ago for a while and sold the Eden onto another basschatter-the fault reappeared so i refunded him and got the amp back. The amp has cut out on me recently but with a light hit on the top it came back on immediately-maybe something loose-eq overload light came on? Anyhow i did plan to get it serviced and fixed but have never got around to it. Currently it plays fine, i've cranked it up and rehearsed a couple of times with it too 3-4 months ago-no problems. So the issue is intermittent. I haven't really got the money or time to get it serviced at the moment so i am putting it up for sale with the buyer knowing it has these issues. Could run ok without a hitch again or maybe a cheap fix - cheap Eden WT800A!!! I paid alot of money for it 4 years ago but i am asking for £150 + p&p - need the money to get a mountain bike to get fit.
PM'd
 6. I've got a hankering for a Bongo. Does a USA Deluxe Jazz FMT 4 string strike your fancy ?
 7.
Hi all, I'm moving my TE GP12 SMX amp head - I bought this here on BC last year for £280 (so the current asking price is firm - indeed, it's a bit of a bargain). The amp is in exemplary condition - the previous owner advertised it as such and I wasn't disappointed when it arrived. I think the head is around 16 or 17 years old and is British built. It's in the TE amp sleeve (green rat fur in excellent shape) with a heavy duty, sprung. TE branded flight case handle. The only sign of age on the unit is a little tarnishing on the fan grille at the back (this is extremely minor!) Tone is pure and classic Trace - the amp is super-powerful and loud. I'd hang on to it but I simply have far too much gear and need to rationalise. I'll try to post some images later. Price is £245 to include post (to UK) and packing. Alternatively, the amp can be collected in central Manchester (£230 cash on collection).
Good price for a great amp. I've got the same one and it's got more than enough headroom for anything I do. Great range of sounds too with the 12 band EQ.
 8.
Just found this, i don't know if anyone else spotted it, looks like it'll go pretty cheap: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FENDER-STYLE-BASS-GU...V#ht_500wt_1154 Interesting..........
I hope you've got your flame suit on
 9. It's the tort for me. I think black would look good on it too. It's too pale for a white pickguard imo.
 10. I've just bought a Streamer Jazzman 5 and I must say I'm really impressed with it. The only downside for me is the neck profile but I suppose going from a USA Jazz 4 to a Warwick 5 it's not something I wouldn't notice haha. I also find it a bit heavy in comparison to my Fender but I can live with that.
 11.
Yes they do and they use their own exchange rate calculator which is normally more likely to make you incur charges, and the calculation is made on the day the package is inspected by customs not the day you bought it. All of which points to the fact that you should make sure the total cost of the item plus postage is under £17.00
I bought my USA Jazz FMT from the states and paid $1000 for it when the list price here was £1300. The £ was 2-1 then too. I'm sure I only paid £70 customs charges on that. You win some, you lose some
 12.
I thought if the item was worth less than £18 you don't pay any charges?
They were £18.88
 13.
Same thing happened to me with some LaBella flats I bought from US when they were out of stock in the UK. I ended up paying something like £45 all-in, when the UK price (when in stock) was about £29 and the US price 'seemed' about the same including postage. Yet I bought a Sansamp pedal costing five times as much from the US and that slipped through the net with no import duties/charges - it seems like its pot luck
The strings here are around £35 so I guess with the cost of £18+£11 customs and around £5 postage I'm still better off........just
 14.
I have a feeling that won't work!
Ye, I'll be phoning them but I'm with you on that....it won't work. I'll just buy here in future.
 15.
Yeah it's proper ridiculous. I bought a couple of cables from america that cost nearly $100, I had to pay nearly £35 in custom charges. Buy British! Truckstop
I will be in future.......lesson learnt
 16.
It will be. You have the joys of a handling fee to pay too hence the price hike. Anything over $30 they can sting you
They were less than $30, $28.88 to be exact.
 17. I feel like I've just been done by the customs people big time. I bought some DR EXTRA-Life Black Beauties Medium Bass Strings BKB-45 from the other side of the pond for £18. I've just had a letter from from the P.O saying I owe £11.32 in customs charges which equates to around 61% if I'm not mistaken. (edited for spelling mistake) Surely this can't be right ?
 18. I just bought Andy's 5 string Warwick, very nice guy to deal with.
 19. I've just bought Andy's 5 string Warwick so I won't be needing a 5 string swap anymore. I'm now looking for a cab or PA equipment ie subwoofers. Does anyone want to trade for the Thunderbird ?
 20.
anyone
Any chance of postage, I'm interested in a shallow case. Do you have the measurements for it ?
 21. I used to take 2 in different tunings and for backup, our set was arranged around the tunings so I would only swap guitars once. I've just (hopefully) bought a 5 string which I'll now need to work out the songs on and that'll leave me needing just the one Bass. I'll still take a back up though.
 22.
I've done something wrong...
Maybe you should Use Somebody to help you
 23. Bump for added pics.
