  1. AT Prices all went up on Tuesday. The HB-60 rungs a bell at > £160. There as a B-stock last month at £140 that I waited too long before deciding so lost it. The BZ-4000 NT was 241 euro when I bought it and at the exchange rate then it was £201. That's the reason for the price hikes. The euro has tanked!! I was going to buy a used bass from Germany and the stumbling block was how better a deal I was getting than fellow Europeans.
  2. Bit of a turn-up for the books. I had lousy service from Interparcel the last time but was forced to use them again this week. Parcel Force wanted £52 to ship a 4.4Kg bass to Germany,Interparcel quoted £25 using Parcelforce with extra insurance and txt alerts. Bass was collected at 0930 on Monday and received in Lower Saxony last night. Money has already been refunded to my PP account. I took a hit via the exchange rate and shipping, seller only refunded the outward costs. Can't fault InterParcel this time, 3 days Scotland to Germany is good. So top marks InterParcel though it really was ParcelForce and DHL that did the work
  3. Wow a beautiful bass. I don't play 6 strings or this would have been bought 30 minutes ago Grind NTB's are fantastic basses. This shouldn't be around for long.
  4. Lovely wee bass. Lightweight and as you say it's very easy to play due to the great neck. It's in good nick too, mines is knocked to hell but I'm not selling . Sensible price,c'mon foks treat somebody you know, maybe even yourself, and buy this. GLWTS
  5. Well yellowcar seeing your post prompted me to get my JB-75 through and like John I'm very pleased. It's the older model with the weird melted wax scratch plate and rosewood fretboard. This was bought as a deko and cost £33,my first deko and I figured just to rob parts it was worth it.Big surprise when it arrived I could find no flaws in the finish so thought the electrics would be shot. Nope they work great so I'm still kinda puzzled why it was a deko. As I mentioned the finish is good and the woodwork is 1st class, body appears to be 2 piece and the grain is a decent match.A pleasant grained maple neck, satin finish and 20 frets with inlays not stickers. All the hardware works great, holds it's tune well and plays very well too. I'm in agreement with John again, some would say it's quite heavy, mines weighs 11lbs, and I had a few slightly sharp frets.Nothing to cut yourself on though. All in all a damn fine bass for very little money. It nearly costs the same to buy just the Wilkinson parts on ebay.I didn't have any set up problems out the box either so no complaints from me.
  6. One less than last week. Bought a cheap silent bass from Germany,Worst purchase ever, replies from seller like hen's teeth, late delivery, played and sounded crap. Lucky it arrived damage so it was sent back for a refund. Topper was Parcel Force quoting £52 in the P.O. and charging £24 online inc extra insurance and text alerts.
  7. @AT I remember last month you posting round about 9pm when dekos showed up on your software, they used to show at 8/9am too. Can't fathom the timings either. I'm only really interested in the HB-60 and they're not listed anymore, the ebay one is a collection only from Tonbridge. Why did he not list it last December,I was working there for a week
  8. Just a thought. Could the time difference between UK and CET or UTC explain why the dekos get listed around 4am as that would be 6am UTC.
  9. I not convinced it sold for £77. Must be a mistake or I'm having a flashback.
  10. Try playing sitting down without them.
  11. Cheers for replying. No wonder they get tourists, that's an impressive piece of building.
  12. That's a bridge. Where the hell is it though ?
  13. Great to hear that Andy. Now get those 8000 words done and have another 10 minutes
  14. Those bridges you like are copies of the Traben Array ones [attachment=182902:array_4_traa4sbk.png]
  15. That is a thing of Wonderous Beauty. Tell you what Andy. I'm glad you went for it too
  16. Only a couple of hours away. The tension rises
  17. The countdown has begun Andy. Fingers crossed for tomorrow
  18. Black scratchplate and pickup cover is a huge improvement.
  19. You trying to make me jealous Andy It's gonna be great when it arrives. Can feel it in ma water.
  20. Don't think you're being defensive UD. Lw listed a range of flaws as if they were commonplace, which isn't the case. My own experience with HB basses is if they cost twice as much I'd still be happy. And that 50% has stayed constant as the PB-20 far outplays the Squier Affinity P bass I have and I still reckon the BZ-4000 stands up against the Cirrus and others. I'd like to try the T-bird against my Epi one as they're both built by Saein and not counting the HB's active it still cost 50% less. I can't say how the HB's rate against the J&Ds but remember hearing somebody say it took a lot of work to get their J&D as playable as their HB. I'll stick with my view the HBs are as good as most costing twice as much. Gave a Gear4Music or a Rockburn P bass to my neice at Xmas,it was ok but not great and still was 50% more than the PB-20. Why didn't she get the PB-20 ? It had been altered to BEAD and the G4M or whatever was a £40 last minute from Cash Converters
  21. Sadly it's common business practise UD.I think the same tactic was used against Dave from Retrovibe. There's a really strange mindset regards Rics, on another site a fella bought a Chinese copy then did a video. Just went this is my Ric 4001 and this is my Chinabacker then A/B'd them sound wise.He pointed out what he reckons were design flaws in the Chinese but really made no attempt to say it was better in any respect. Man he got slaughtered. Was talking to him last night, thankfully he's still tinkering with it and gigging with it too. As I've a break between jobs I should spend some time with the RB414. If I can keep away from the Peaveys
  22. Flats on the Peavey. That's sounding a good idea already
  23. Anticipation IS a killer Can't see it being a boat anchor by any standards, even the much mentioned T-40's averaged between 10 - 11 lbs. About the same as a £1.99 bag of spuds or as I found out last night less than a 3 month baby Handy not needing the case, sell it on and try out different B strings You did get 1st refusal but I ain't selling. Roll on Wednesday ma Man.
