1. I bought a bass from Mark and in two days I got it from cloudy London to sunny Alcorcón. A pleasure to do business with him.

Best tuner pedal

Hi, I´ve used a lot over the years, now I´m using the tuner of the Zoom B3, it works very well. I drop tune the 5th string to A, some tuners just not detect that note correctly.
8. Bump. Price drop to 150 £ shipped! Payment also with Paypal if you prefer.
9. SOLD! Up for sale is this Symetrix 501 compressor, working flawlessly. Quoting ovnilab.com, your favourite compressor review site: "It is legendary for how great it sounds on bass, and is used in many recording studios alongside the more expensive units". You can check the rest of the review here: http://www.ovnilab.c...ws/sym501.shtml Very quiet, it´s great to have a compressor wich fattens the signal separated from the limiter wich controls peaks in your signal. I´m not using it at this moment and need money for a Spector! Shipping from Madrid, Spain is included to EU. Payment preferred by Transfer Wise, low fees and fast and secure payment. Any questions just ask!
10.
The master vol needs sufficient boost headroom to account for widely differing preamp signal levels that result from the different drive and eq settings available. It should be borne in mind that a master volume is a power amp input gain control not an output limiting control (I'm hoping most BC regulars know that by now ).
So, Bob Gollihur needs to know that. He was the one who told me about the "fake volume" when I bought my EA amp from him 10 years ago.
11. About the common answer "I only put my volume at 1 or 9 o´clock or whatever", keep in mind that most amp manufacturers make their volume controls to work mostly in the first half of the pot... Usually from 8 to 11 there´s no audible increase of volume. Some brands like Euphonic Audio use to claim that they where the only who uses "real volume control".
12. My Japanese Fender jazz... black, tort pickguard, maple fb and white block inlays... I bought it in Japan, sold it in 8-10 years ago... I never used Fender again, but I really missed that one, such a beauty.
13. For 700-750 quid you can buy an used MM Stingray 5. I´m in a prog metal band and its my weapon of choice.
14. Just bought a Carvin power amp from Stevie. Very well packed and promtly dispatched, I am very happy with the transaction. Thanks again!
15. The other day we tried to record some guitards for a record using BIAS desktop on the iPad of the treble guitarrist, influenced by things like this: https://www.positivegrid.com/2014/10/bias-desktop-jeff-loomis-keith-merrow-conquering-dystopia/ I said tried because we have quite a bunch of problems with the app/hardware, and lose a lot of time tweaking with it. It had always work flawlessly in the hands of the owner before, he claimed. The point is, for me its not safe enough for live use, and we had to argue a lot with the guitard player to not bring it to our next gig. For recording, fair enough, modelling have improved a lot these days.
16. It opens a lot of doors for you, when you can read melodies. BUT one big mistake I made years ago was to depend too much in written music and forget to use your ears. Jaco learnt the hard way a huge amount of jazz standards by ear in order to play in a gig in a boat. It will be much faster and easier for him to just read the charts.
17. John Scofield with Joe Lovano this monday in Madrid. Napalm Death+Carcass+Obituary+Voivod later this month. Quite heterogeneus tastes
18. Its funny that you reason for not bringing cabs to the gig was to have a coupé. You can use the passenger seat for your cab. Anyway, speaker simulation can help with the overall sound through FOH, but its not a must. I´m using the cheap but very reliable Zoom B3.
19. Hi all, I have just bought a compressor from spyder. Good communication when we have to deal with the courier, very nice packing and a perfect buying experience overall. I recommend YOU to deal with HIM.
20. I recommend you to try it... looks like some neck dive going on. Depends on your playing style will bother you or not.
21. I have just bought an Ibanez prestige from Mike, and I´m really happy about it. Nice packaging, fast responses, very communicative. I only can recommend you to have business with him. Cheers!
