1. Just bought an iRig off Muzz, top chap and good communications. Buyers/sellers can deal with confidence
2. Very happy BX1500 user here, most versatile amp I've ever used although admittedly now I use an Ampeg SVT2 pre amp with it too. It does sound fantastic without the preamp, very clean and modern tones, but the pre does make it a bit warmer/ vintage sounding for my reggae tonal needs. It is also very light. If it was stolen I'd bypass all the other competitors and buy exactly the same again. Bassgear were great to deal with too...hope they stock the Carvin cabs one day
3. Well, lets hope she was cheered up with breakfast in bed
4.
I've always loved this, very Bob Marley though
We cover this in our reggae band, always goes down great
5.
All Jazz basses sound different to me, even identical models. The differences may not be obvious at first, but they become more apparent over time.
Definitely this +1
6. I'll have the irig, I'll pm later as at monotonous Sunday wedding gig
7. Another +1 for Carvin. I have the BX1500 and it's a versatile and loud 1500w beast (supposedly), lighter than my Genz Streamliner. and 19" rack size. Two channels, parametric as well as graphic, switchable tube, built in crossover and you can mix/match cabs galore - 8ohm-2ohm. Also the compressor is the best I've had on an amp too...not a well known amp in UK but I'm sure if more were to try they'd be pleasantly surprised http://www.carvinworld.com/products/BX1500
8. Haha funny reading back on this thread....i was sooo close However, I ended up with the ampeg rig....but not a light one...see my signature. The Genz however does the light (ish) duties
9. BT1 Hipshot in box, £45 posted or trade for decent bass hard case or very good gig bag (cash either way) Info: http://store.hipshot...uct_detail&p=54
10. Pm'd
11. PM's replied, giving some serious consideration on some trades but a cash deal would seal
12. Yes truly awesome cabs, love mine paired with a Streamliner. Good luck with the sale
13.
Ha ha...glad I have my '89 Ray!! fabulous sound and beautiful figured necks. buy with confidence.....
Thanks, the man speaks sense and knows his stuff
14.
Where abouts in Devon are you?
Plymouth way
Nice... What's the weight?
On my dodgy scales i would say about 10.5lbs.
15. Got to learn this track, wondered if anyone had the bass transcription, music or tab or scribbles even i could get https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V8Le8bH3Y8U&feature=kp
16.
Oh you bad man you! You appear determined to separate me and what little cash I have!
Haha....keep swimming by the hook my friend
17. Thanks for the comments guys, she is a cracker. Have had quite a bit of interest too. PM's now replied. I would do a cash sale for £750+P&P too
18. Considering selling/trading my lovely 89 ray as its not getting the use it deserves. Pics here:- https://drive.google...WkU&usp=sharing I have the original MM receipt/manual too. There is honest wear on the body (not fake relic rubbish). There is also a mark on the back of the neck but nothing that affects playability. The tort guard is a custom i had made via Bass Doc on here, its nitro tort (i think) so really looks authentic rather than that pizza cheap stuff. It was however made for a Ray34 but fits on my US Ray fine although it has the opened tab by the pick up (see pic) to accommodate the Ray34 pick up design. I have the original black pickguard too. All in all its a funky beast of a bass, lovely birdseye neck, foam mutes, and a lot of peeps say this was the best period for Stingrays and i'd have to agree, but i generally use my jazz these days and i'm in need of a fiver for an upcoming project. Tradewise, looking for a 5 string, ideally 19mm spacing, but may consider others. Lakland Jo5 or DJ5, Musicman Ray5 etc...may consider others with cash adjustments as necessary i.e Yam TRB2 plus cash my way, also looking for a light 1x12" or 1x15".
