Thanks Bill.......
Hi Will....
Thanks that's really kind....
I think it might just be the dust cover (my technical knowledge of drivers etc is rubbish)
now i've tested it by itself without the other cab it sounds ok..... I guess i'm just paranoid as amps & cabs have let me down so often (including some expensive stuff)
Hi Guys,
I think one of my 10' drivers is on it's way (centre is detatched from the paper cone)
I need some advice on a possible repair..... (is it possible to glue it ? if so what type of glue)
or advice needed on easily available replacement drivers that will match the cab and perform well
I have a gig on saturday so time isn't on my side here
The details of the cab can be found here it's the 210 non neo

I've got a 2008 model and it's a fantastic Instrument
could become a collectore piece now.... final year of production
The Peppers are having a year off now..... so any potential new album / world tour is 2-3 years away, I guess Flea isn't that much use to Modulus now either, no doubt he'll be asking mega bucks to keep his endorsement going.... maybe Modulus pulled the plug on Flea ?
Watch out for his basses ending up in the Hard Rock Cafe !
What type of bass were you using ?
I love the EBS's ability to bring a passive fender to life......
I plugged my old Kingbass into my EBS Rig at the time (TD650 & pair of neo212) sounded horrible !!
Yes I've heard this said before, Marcus. I'd be interested in trying the Aguilar Tone Hammer pedal at some point, but I'm not into ripping out wiring and changing preamps in basses - For instance, I'm driving a 400 mile round trip this week just so Rob Green can sort the wiring on the preamp in one of my Status basses. I don't do wiring!
It's an easy job for a tech....
about 8 solder joints should cost £20 - £25
I found that the Sadowsky outboard preamp/di pedal is an excellent solution for more than one passive bass. No need to do any wiring, just plug the bass you're using at the time in & Bob's your Auntie!
I'm actually using it with my Marcus Miller Jazz as the Sadowsky sounds fuller and richer than the onboard Fender pre.
an astonishing difference can be made to a Miller bass by ripping out that $2 preamp and installing an Aguilar OBP1 !!
One thing Nathan east does(apparently) slightly grow your fingernails on your picking hand, it gives a slightly similar attack, i know when mine are getting a bit long, i can tell, just a thought- lee
Thanks for the advice guys !
I think i'll look into the steel leather

not a bad idea that.....
In fact it's so nice I've decided to keep it!
Been playing it off and on all afternoon & decided to hang on to it after all
Good call !!!
Yes a great pre even though I replaced it yet again with an ACG filter based pre which sounds even better (i.e. totally awsome) to me, but it's a bit more than your £100.

I'm gob smacked....... !!
total absolute bargain.

Hi Guys
Thanks for the input...... I can see there is merit in experimentation... I can see why a compressor befor the bass balls wouldn't be the right route....
Any opinions on using the 2 Apex units in line
and then the Bass balls and ODB3 in the loop ?
Mark
Hi Guys,
i've never used effects live before and am in need of some advice about how best to wire up some pedals and in what order etc
The Pedals I will be using are :
Electro Harmonix Bass Balls
Boss ODB3
Aphex Fat Bottom Exciter
Apex Punch factory (compression pedal)
Should I use them via the effects loop or inline ? on a combination ?
Should the compressor be last or first
AnyAdvice welcome
Thanks
Mark
