Fantastic Bass...... it had something my other Kingbasses didn't, bigger fundamental I thought, what a player !!! I was the first owner after Mark used it live..... it still had the strings he used on the gig !! bought it direct from Dawn & Rob and met Mark at Newcastle where he kindly signed the certificate and the bass. His comment to me was "I wondered where this would turn up..... " Mark said he thought this was a great Bass but Rob was trying a different neck profile at the time and his other 3 kingbasses were all the same so he had his own Black Beauty made to match the other 3 he had at the time. A bit of Status / Mark King History for sure....... wish I could find a reason to have it back !! Good Luck with the sale, someone's gonna be very very happy for sure !! ATB Mark

APHEX PUNCH FACTORY - Sold pending payment

Had one of these previously.... and just bought another one from CHRISDABASS, It's the sort of compressor that you think isn't doing a lot.... but your sound man and your audience will notice it more than you do in a live situation (if that makes sense) it's actually quite easy to over - do it if you're not carefull.... you think it isn't doing much in the house, or standing 3 foot away from your bass rig on a gig...... but it's a sort of "LESS IS MORE" situation, keeps the integrity of your tone, but get's you noticed in a busy mix... Great bit of kit..... -
I'd agree with most of what you say Si but I'd add the caveat that there is nothing to say that the market for vintage instruments won't suddenly collapse. Buying a vintage instrument (or keeping one till it is vintage) is fine if you enjoy it (playing or looking at) but I'd personally not bank on an instrument or instruments paying for my pension. Just my opinion but I'm a bit old school in that respect.
yeah keep your coin safely in the NR or BB or better yet invest it in property !!
