1. As pieces of poo go, that's a stinker. Have to love that wiring. Electricity as done by a 7-year-old. So it's an amateur defret with virtually no original parts, the body has either been badly stripped or had something spilled on it (in a permastain sort of way), and here's one really very poor photograph for you to look at. Hmmmmmm. We've all made tougher decisions than this.
 2. You can turn that bass into Sex On A Stick just by changing the pickguard:
 3. Nowhere near NW England so can't help with that, but I can certainly say all sorts of nice things about the 5-string Streamline. http://s1128.photobucket.com/user/h4ppyjack/library/Basses%20CURRENT/Status%20Graphite%20Streamline%205%202011%20CURRENT Lovely piece of craftsmanship and a real head-turner, doesn't sound even remotely plastic-ky, totally stable neck means that it never needs adjustment (and I do mean never) and barely needs tuning, lightweight and comfortable to play. At my most pernicketty, the one thing I regret is that the 5-string isn't available in 19mm spacing. I hear that some people are so misguided as to hit the strings with their thumbs, a remarkably odd form of behaviour of no interest to a real musician of course. However, the deluded fools who act in this bizarre way assure me that the Streamline is a particularly fine bass to try to damage in this way.
 4. None of my business, but on a bass of this quality (and this price!) you really should try to put up some decent photographs. The ones you have right now are awful!
 5.
I really hope so. I can sort pics, but true to current form, it`s a black/black/maple Precision so just like all the basses I`ve had over the last year or so
Now if you'd done more research, you'd have discovered that 8 out of 10 Basschatters (who expressed an opinion) prefer rosewood ...
 6. ??? What am I missing here? This is a UK limited company with a VAT registration and loads of good feedback. No white vans trading in back streets appear to be involved, and if this lot has been stolen then it would take a remarkably stupid scammer to use this method to flog it. Step away from the pitchfork ...
 7.
It would take some front on the part of the band turning up at the Dog&Duck armed with perspex surrounds for the drummist though.
But they could spend the whole evening playing Rawhide ...
 8.
Just for the record. The ohm is a unit of impedance. There is no such word as ohmage.
So it doesn't matter how many impediments you have? Or whether you live in Omaha?
 9. I have a shedload of really nice kit (literally) but my default, go-to rig for small gigs remains my OTB into a (first generation, no-tweeter, 15") Compact. Small enough to fit into any space I might need to play in, light enough to carry through or across any likely obstacles, simple enough to be idiot-proof. Does it sound like a Matamp GT100 through a 610? No. Does it sound like a Demeter VTB-201 through a Powersoft into an Eden rig? No. Does it sound really good, and easily good enough for the gig? Oh yes.
 10.

It's only green until you put it next to something blue. So what happens when you put it next to Candy Apple Red?
 11. Just got home from my niece's wedding, all nice Christian types (not like me at all). The band (all nice Christian types) played Ring Of Fire, Billy Jean (is not my lover), Get You (hint: the original title was not "Get" You), etc. I got the impression that I was the only person there who had a clue what all these songs were about, and why people used to call this The Devil's Music.
 12. It has a much cooler name ...
 13.
... I didn't realise a fan was blowing over the recorder microphones rendering the whole thing unusable with low-frequency noise.
You need to keep people away from your kit, even when they're fans of yours ...
 14. Pinnacle of bass making? I'll tell you in 50 years, OK? Pinnacle of bass playing? Bwahahahahaha!!! You've gotta love people who come out with stuff like that.
 15. Excellent! I've wanted to try out one of those question marks for ages. Is it any good for metal?
 16.
£100 for the silly little amp. I wouldn't want the amp.
How can you say that, Jon? Astounding Amp. Voted best practice amp in guitar magazine but you could actually gig with it! The amp has effects like reverb etc, a drum beat machine for composing, practice etc. it's awesome. This could be your chance to become the bass player you've always dreamed of being ...
 17. £135? Doesn't seem that outrageous to me for a handmade instrument.
 18.
No probe and decent necks I reckon.
Yeh, I hate it when they probe.
 19. Intending no disrespect to either Brentford FC or Sheffield Wednesday, I imagine that more people will be affected on that afternoon by England -v- Wales at Twickenham in the Rugby World Cup. Luckily enough, I bloody HATE rugby!

 21.
I reckon at gigs I see more P and J basses than I do Les Pauls and Strats.
Maybe this is a genre thing. I currently play in three bands with electric guitarists, each band playing covers from different periods. Guitars used in the last year:

2 x Strat
2 x Les Paul
1 x Tele
1 x Jaguar
1 x Flying V
1 x Yamaha 335-alike
1 x Danelectro
22. Don't let Kanye West get anywhere near it ...
 23.
I'll be gigging with it on Saturday. More later ...
No I won't. Managed to break a toe in my right foot last night, so my gigs tonight and tomorrow lunchtime will have to be uber-stripped-down, relying on the rest of the band (supervised by Bluejay of course!) to do the roady duties. I'll be taking the bare minimum amount of kit, and sitting down right next to my rig, so using wireless will be a bit pointless.
