1. Yes, as a few have said I wonder what is happening to the necks. Is it temperature/storage related perhaps?
2. Is it an American Standard or American Deluxe? In my opinion: 400 for either is a steal (assuming it's not actually damaged/broken, etc.) 600-900 for an American Standard is a fair scale and very competitive price for an American Deluxe. Depends on a few variables of course - and colour too - sunburst tends to be a little more expensive from what I've seen myself.
3. ...mmmmm a 60s P-bass... How about a pre-CBS?
4. I agree totally. You pretty much cut out variances of the basses by buying high-end. My current 2013 US Standard Jazz Bass is superb but the store I bought it from had 4 of the same model in stock - they just had different fingeboard/finish combinations - the difference in playability was crazy though - unacceptable actually - 3 were very average or rubbish and only 1 was good.
5. Yes, I've pretty much arrived at the same conclusion. Been through a lot of basses over the last 20 years and always end up back with passive jazz basses. I don't fight it anymore
6. Wow - what an incredible looking bass!! Just beautiful.
7. I'm really surprised that this hasn't sold for this price. Mind you, I'm totally skint myself at the moment and I'm guessing there are a lot of people in the same boat!
8. Incredible basses. I love mine. Congratulations.
9. ...and a Ken Smith Black Tiger VI.
10. I fancy a Fodera.
11. I bought a Aguilar Tone Hammer DI pedal from Lozz. Absolute pleasure to deal with and very quick shipping.
12. Haha another one in and out of the stable. Looks beautiful and GLWTS! Off topic but that 2013 Jazz I bought back from you is incredible dude. Whenever I go to music shops I like to try their US Standard Jazz Bass stock simply to compare with the one I've got and again, yesterday, I went to Absolute Music in Poole and played three American Standard Jazz Basses and none of them came close to the one I've got! It really is incredible (and quite poor too) how different the same model of Fender can be!
13. I emailed him now. I hope he does - im not a fan of the fake aged thing. I respect how difficult it must be etc but it's not for me.
14. I've done a search on the forum and understand that people are very happy with them. I also read that Mark doesn't do sunburst. Does anyone have a Limelight bass that isn't aged though?
15. At this price I'm super surprised you still have this awesome looking bass! I'd have gone for it myself had it been a rosewood FB.

Sold

Wow that is awesome! GLWTS
17. I wondered where that went. I re acquired my 2013 US Standard Jazz Bass. Won't be selling it again.
18. I wonder if this LiamCt knob has actually visited this site recently and seen all this since he stole your money. I've had a few occasions where money has been stolen from me so I know the feeling well. It's just a horrible situation. I really do hope that you get your money back and I hope that this thief is caught and subsequently charged by the police. The thieving c*nt.
19.
Thought I'd add a family shot - the wall of jazz !
Ahhhh a lovely wall.
20.
That '64 Jazz bass is....well.....words fail me!! It has a Holy Grail look about it! Any soundclips? If it sounds half as good as it looks it will be gorgeous.
I don't I'm afraid. I only have it in my wierd band situations. And my band's are weird cutiowanetwork.bandcamp.com
21.
It's beautiful... dings n all.
Cheers - I really, really love it. I actually sold it once about 10 years ago and regretted it within days but thankfully a year or so later the guy who bought it needed to raise some cash. I sold all my other basses and my girlfriend sold her car to get the money together so I could get this back... my girlfriend is now obviously my wife.
22. All original. I bought it 15 years ago and it was in this condition. I've really looked after it myself
23. I've been through a lot of basses over the past 20 years but my '64 Jazz still remains my go to bass. 24.
Something that's occurred to me regarding this. The guy would've had to pay his £20 or whatever to advertise. Wouldn't that PayPal payment have a name and address ?
Sorry to see this here. Have you contacted the mods about Ambient's suggestion?
25. Not that weird. I reckon Nick has owned every bass out there at some point
