1. thats a lot of G&L for the money. Bargain!
2.
Prince: Prince in action:
(that) Prince looks great in all his pearl purpleness. I used to have a musicman in that same combo. always reminded me of the colour of the foil wrapper on a Cadburys dairy milk. I love them too
3. great basses these Tributes. I had a natural L2000 which was a beauty Matt that green L-1500 was indeed a heavy fella (incidentally that bass could be on its way back to me soon) I've owned half a dozen other USA models and all were/are much lighter than it. Keir
4. my favourite 5 too. yours looks great
5. hey Sam,that is a sweet LE. I saw your post in the ebmm saying you were expecting something new - I thought it'd be a USA Sterling single H, no idea it was this beauty.... congrats on a great bass, did you get this and hang on to to your $$ ? Keir
6. A pair of ebmm Steve Morse signature models - a Y2D and a Standard G&L Legacy USA Std
7. ^^that white stingray 5 is possibly my favourite in this whole thread. its the tits! fwiw heres a few I (some foolishly) let go white sparkle Sterling, traded to wavydavey on here. I'd love to think I'll maybe trace and get this one back one day. candy apple red Sterling, traded to eubassix saphire black HH Bongo, traded to bigwan for the 5HH I have now white HS Bongo, traded with power of ten on here(that man has an amazing musicman collection!) vintage sunburst Stingray, went to jezzaboy a few months back teal 2EQ Stingray, retrofitted later with a Status graphite neck and then stupidly sold on ebay (though I did have bills to pay) teal SUB active, bought by v max blues before I was a member on here there were others before these - a natural late 80s Sabre fretless,a black pre EB, an early 90s blueburst SR5, and a 97 honeyburst Sterling none of which I have any pics of unfortunately cheers Keir
8. cant say I blame you for feeling that way about them. fantastic basses imo.
9. and to think you could have had it
10. I had a great day meeting some lovely people and trying a load of sweet basses. Mrs Dub,Andrea enjoyed it too. It was a bit of a crazy journey back home with all the water lying on the back roads but it was worth it Highlights for me were Bob's black Pedulla Rapture  ,Haimesy's Zon Sonus 6, Greenkings USA Spector and Toasted's Sadowsky (and Celinder - lush!) I also got to try some beautiful ACGs and Shukers. If I'd tried more I'd have loved them just as much I'm sure. Brilliant day and count me in for the next one. Keir
11. musicman have just discontinured this colour (as of 15th October). shame as its one of the best imo.
12. I tried them once on a Sterling and it was an awful experience. I was only happy again when I changed back to roundwounds. Never ever again for me. I quite like flats on P-basses for that old school thump but thats about it.
13. yes I am. planning on bringing 3 basses nd the Bongo will be one of them
14. best trade I ever did mate. your old 5HH is just epic! Sapphire Black is a cool finish. very understated.
15. definetely going to make this one. I let you guys down last one but its 100% happening this time. Mrs Dub is coming too so we'll be there on the Sunday morning. We're leaving her place in Cumnock at 10am so reckon on an hour getting there
16. owen's right,they do indeed
17. these look great imo
18.
To sing and play those lines is beyond belief.
+1 how he can do that is beyond me
19. what a great looking bass! I'm keen on trying out an SB14 myself after seeing Ed Friedlands video afaik they are shipped to California for final set up/inspection but not at the ebmm factory but at Praxis Music in Orange County
20. great looking SR5,dont do it! I wish I had something to trade as I'd have it along with my maple board stingray 5 in a heartbeat. good luck with the trade
21. Stingray 5s had alnico pickups way back in the beginning, then changed to ceramic up till the Sterling 5 came out then changed back to alnico. mines has ceramic and I love the tone - smooth yet growly is how I'd describe it. I've got a Bongo 5HH too and wouldnt have sold my SR5 to get it but I'm glad I have that too. It does a lot more than the SR5 but cant do the thing the SR5 does
22. I (amongst others) owned CK's natural NS5CRFM for 18 months. Superior to the other Euro 5 I owned and the LX's I auditioned at length. That bass was warmer sounding and had some mids built in even though the preamp didnt. I can only imagine it sounds awesome now with the mods. Materials, fit and finish were on par with a 90's Warwick SS1 I used to have many moons ago. Shame they dont do woods like that on the current ones.
23. never seen a wunkay without the control plate. looks great like that imo
24. hi, sorry no, despite looking I couldnt find either of those boards for it.
