  1. Hey Jimbobothy... Great response, and that makes perfect sense. I was wondering, I think, how the BigShot fitted into everything.... Quick question re. the BassBone, as I use one currently..... If you use the TRS cable for the effects loop, and you have a tuner connected, how do you do muted tuning? I currently have a dummy jack in the loop so I can mute silently, but would rather use an effects loop, aaaaaaand be able to use a dedicated tuner output. Thanks in advance mate...
  2. @BassBunny yeah, the labour involved will be me stripping things down, and yes, I might only be able to (for example) blacken the tuner "wings" - which would be OK I guess. The bridge should be easy enough to do,... I just need to find somepne who does this and be able to chat to them. I was thinking motorbike plating specialists - I guess they "clean" everything first to take things down to bare metal first as a matter of course.... not sure at all. Time to look at parts as an option now I guess
  3. Very nice and slick - pray tell, what is your signal path?
  4. Hi all, Not sure if this is the "right place" to post this, forgive me if it's not.... I play a Yamaha TRB6 and while the gold hardware is synonymous and somewhat expected with the TRB bass, I have always loved the black of Warwick Thumbs... so, with that in mind, (a) is it possible to black plate/etch/coat existing gold hardware, and if so, then (b) where in the UK (specifically London/Essex) can I get this done. BTW - the hardware is top notch, hence me not wanting to shell out for new tuners and a bridge. That may well be the only option - especially if the price to "change the colour" is stupid money. Anyway - thank you in advance
  5. Thanks mate. For some reason I thought the original was cream. It's all this bloody lock down malarkey
  6. Question, the all black SBP1.... does that have a DC option, or is it 9v battery only like the cream one?
  7. I have nearly 25 years of experience as a journeyman bassist for corporatr/function/cover bands and session work for playing for musicians and singers alike. I am based in Epping, available (£ dependant, will travel as needed) for work in the greater Essex into East and Central London areas. Great attitude, great gear. I read charts like a boss and can wade through Brown Eyed Girl without toomuch grumbling - so unless it's serious jazz, I'm your man!
  8. Thanks mate - I may have to cave and get a FB account now
  9. Where is the LOVE button!!!
  10. Ah, no worries at all - thanks for letting me know mate!
  11. Interested at all in a trade for the MXR Bass Octave Deluxe?
  12. Any interest in a trade on the TLC for a Radial BassBone v1?
  13. Ah, no worries at all - glad your sale was a success
  14. Are you open to trades? I've got a Radial BassBone (v1) up for grabs
  15. Thanks Daryl - responded with haste
  16. Thanks all - I will check them out ASAP 😁
  17. As the subject suggests, where is the best place (online or through a shop) in the UK to buy pots? I'm looking at tossing my active eq and running just 2 volume pots. Thank you in advance....
  18. Hey. You open to a trade for an MXR Bass Octave Deluxe at all? Long shot, but nothing ventured....
  19. I always loved the effects on the POD. I've owned the 1st, 2nd and 3rd gen of these... But always found that no matter how much I "turned off" things and created a "totally clean" channel, my tone was always somehow affected. Having said that, man, these are so tempting....
  20. Hi all, I moved to the UK from South Africa 7 months ago and it's time I got out and met musos and got a feel for the scene. I am based in Epping, and can get carted around a little (still waiting to sort my UK drivers out). Where is the best place for me to start? I have spent a lot of time getting established in original and cover bands back in SA, and got a decent reputation as a reliable dep and function band member - I also do backing vocals if required). Where, how, when, where? Any help would be terrific! Thanks in advance. Julian - [email protected]
  21. My thinking @Beedster. I was sent a diagram, and it makes sense, but I'm thinking V/V/T now... just to avoid the headache that's bound to ensue LOL
  22. @BassBunny you are a star sir
  23. OK, perhaps I wasn't too clear. Not 2 P pickups, but 2 Bartolini G6 Vintage units. The P bass reference comes from the V/T configuration, which I'm after for each pickup. The logic, flawed though it well may be, is to be able to have a very "dark" neck and "bright" bridge sound - or vise versa, or any combination thereof. The included diagram however, looks to be a possibility - no tone though, which is OK
