Well I've had this for a few months now, and I'm very hay with this little fella indeed. The amp at 29 lbs is easily loud enough to keep up with the rest of the band at rehersal and small/medium gigs, and just throw the extension cab underneath (which also weighs 29lbs) and I'm pretty much good to go anywhere. I really can't fault these amps at all, I've had a lot of high end amps in my time, and for me, this is the best all round package that I have ever used.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, how do you manage it?
chrisanthony1211 replied to Horizontalste's topic in General Discussion
My mother had carpel tunnel syndrome in both wrists, after sleeping in slings for ages she eventually had surgery which sorted it and she hasn't had problems since, and that was about 15 years ago. -
Having recently sold my precision I've had a great big wad of cash burning a whole in my pocket just itching to be spent. I really liked fleabays rather splendid aged sandberg TT advertised here on basschat so visited the sandberg website and found their excellent build your bass configurator, anyway, I ended up ordering myself a new soft aged california TT in tobacco sunburst, and ordered it with an ebony fretboard, purely because it was within my budget, (I was very impressed with how much bass I could get for my money although a four month waiting time) My point being, I've never played a bass with an ebony fretboard, what's the deal? It obviously looks pretty cool, but does it feel/play/sound any different?.,

Hi, i play in a funk/groove band and it looks like we have just lost our drummer, Although we have been practising in Sheffield we have had a couple of very good gigs at brass monkey in Nottingham and could possibly be flexible where we practise, our band web page is in my signature and there are a couple of our songs on there. We play mostly covers by deep Streep soul, the new mastersounds, phat Fred, the grits, Alan evens trio and cookin on three burners, let me know if you're interested Chris -
Just found this thread, hope you like funk, this is pretty new band. https://missioncreep.squarespace.com
DEFCON is an inverse scale, 5 is the lowest 1 is the highest.
The DEFCON system was developed by the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) and unified and specified combatant commands.[2] It prescribes five graduated levels of readiness (or states of alert) for the U.S. military, and increase in severity from DEFCON 5 (least severe) to DEFCON 1 (most severe) to match varying military situations.[1] I think this nicely describes my interactions with Mrs Anthony when buying new gear is on my mind!,,, -
I am the fairer sex I always find that honesty is the best policy when dealing with my hubby Although he also has an expensive hobby in photography. We have a deal, we pay our share for our bills and outgoings and if we have anything left then we are free to do what we want with it
Damn......forgot that there may be ladies present....anyway.. I tend to have a plan of action which goes something like this Stage one, lay the seed...this usually takes the form of me watching a bass (or amp) on eBay, she stumbles across it at some point and asks me why I'm watching yet another bass, and I reply "no real reason, it's just such a good deal" ....the seed is now planted Stage two, eBay comes to the fore yet again as more of the same musical item are on my watch list, whilst looking through I shall occasionally gasp and shake my head, she then falls straight into the trap and asks what I'm looking at and I start talking about what great value this (or that) is... Stage three, the review stage, I start leaving my iPad on review pages for said item, she yet again picks up Ipad and reads the (specially selected) reviews and I hear the occasional comment like "that red one looks nice".....the trap is now set... Stage four, eBay yet again comes to the rescue as I start to ask sellers questions about said musical item, and ask what they may accept...if I don't get a rise I can then carefully move to stage five (otherwise known as DEFCON 5) Stage 5......"I bet I can make money on that one in six months time" ....she takes the bate.....hook, line and sinker.........it works everytime, but does take about six months......... I'm very envious of you out there with the you buy your handbags and I'll buy a bass deals going on........I'm married to a sodding accountant! -
I'm obviously not advocating telling lies in any way shape or form...........however.........what tricks of the trade do fellow basschatters use when convincing the fairer sex on the merit your new purchase???? Or that everytime you buy and sell, your you're always making a profit, or that the last cab/combo/ bass is (honestly) the last one!!!
