  1. Thanks Rob, I just checked the spec sheet and the circuit board is a 300.
  2. Interesting to hear that not many of us bassists use a compressor live, I always thought that it's what's bassists did, never too old to learn I suppose!
  3. To compress or not to compress, That is the question, Whether tis nobler in the mind to suffer the peaks and spikes of outrages signals, Or to place a compression circuit on a sea of phat bass. And by opposing, reduce them, to smooth them, to die, to sleep, Well that's enough of that! I've always used a compressor, however recently due to events beyond my control I've been going about my business without one and I'm quite liking the "uncompressed" sound I'm hearing, so I thought I'd get some thoughts on whether fellow basschatters compress, and if so, what are you using?
  4. Thank god someone's buying this, this bass is divorce material!
  5. beautiful, I have a matching 1983 Fullerton precision, same colour scheme! What a pair they would make!
  6. I think both look great, and I would probably always want the colour I don't have !
  7. I suppose I could find myself a more understanding wife who would forego a honeymoon for her new husbands happiness in buying yet another bass!
  8. Even though I have two precisions already I want this, although I'll end up getting divorced if I buy this before I sell my status! But that is an option!
  9. I'm a huge advocate for AER bottom line amps, it's a great company that make awsome products, you get what you pay for with these. I've only played the amp one, and that gives my 500watt terror bass a run for its money, although obviously when you get past 12 o'clock the terror bass pulls always a little, but I've not had it past 12 o'clock yet on a gig! I imagine that the rest of the line will be just as good, I was going to sell when I got my terror bass but I can't bring myself to do it. There's not many around to try but anyone willing to come to North notts can have a go on mine. (And can also try my status which is for sale!!!!!!)
  10. There's nothing I can see on the circuit which indicates whether it's a 301/302/303.
  11. One of the things I like about vintage fenders is that once you've bought it, it will go up in value not down! And of course it will sound amazing, make women want to be with you and men want to be you every time you pluck a string!
  12. Check out the link below regarding the correct period decal, make sure you get noses photos of the pots and pickups to be sure http://www.guitarchina.com/news/bg/bg04/20041102/050117.htm
  13. Not sure if is a 301/302 or 303, I shall have a look and see if there's any serial number on it.
