    Hi @Paul Skueswelcome to BassChat. That bass looks great, and certainly looks to be a bargain price. I must admit, if I needed to switch to short scale.... I'd be sorely tempted by one of those. Let us know how you're getting on. And don't spend too much time in the marketplace here - or by the end of the year you'll be like the majority of us on here i.e. you'll have half a dozen basses, and still looking! lol

    Thanks for your thoughts on this @Steve BrowningI agree that I've not yet come across a Japan built Fender that I didn't like (Incl the early Squiers) Always great quality builds and always feeling comfortable to play (with a "worn-in" feel to the necks) So unusual to see one in this colour - so tempting.... but I really mustn't (I'm trying to be good! lol)

    Would be very interested to know the weight of this bass. It's a stunning colour, I must say I'm a fan of MIJ / CIJ Fender stuff.

    Wow - this has surprised me @Beedster especially having seen that list of bass guitars you have owned. I take your point about focussing on the Upright though. I suppose in a sense, the BG can be something of a distraction. Actually, in truth I think I would like to spend more time playing upright than I currently do, and spend proportionally way more on BG. However, I think I'd miss the comfort of sitting on the sofa, jamming along to YouTube, or my music collection. I know I'd also miss picking up a bass and taking it out to a folk jam or pub jam with my pals. So I think I'd always keep a bass guitar just for these reasons. My only problem though..... is I couldn't limit myself to one! lol Brave move sir, brave move - best of luck with it

    I've dropped the asking price to £150, but I'm half tempted to hang on to this unit now. I rarely use it, but if I want one in future (if things change) I know I'd be lucky to find another.

    6.6lbs - that IS lightweight. Nice looking bass too Is it 30" scale? - Sorry, I know nothing about this model. EDIT: I was being lazy.... a quick search revealed they are indeed short scale

    Ah, shame. Sorry to hear that. I was once tempted by a wine rack that was made from a DB body. That would be the coolest wine rack in town 😎 Unfortunately, I'm more of an ale man! Lol

    Sorry to hear that you have to move this bass on, and for losing out on work at that. I have one of these, and they are absolutely amazing basses - top notch build quality, great sound, and very nice to play GLWTS

    I have one of these, which I bought maybe 10 months or so back. I'm not really a 5 string player - I got it just to have a 5'er in my collection to noodle on. I bought mine because of its nicely contoured, comfortable body, its light weight (under 4kg - great for a 5 string!). And because it's comfortable to play. Added to this, the pickups & electrics are high quality (if a tad modern sounding) with a wide tonal pallete. All in all, a great value bass. If I didn't already have one - I'd be buying this, especially at that price! GLWTS

    I treated myself to one of these a while back - and it was nowhere near Christmas! Lol. Absolutely love mine. I'm sure you'll enjoy your new present. I'm quite pleased with the sound when bowed (although I'm not much of a bow player really). I'd be interested to hear what you think. I bought myself some tapewound strings to try on it - must fit them & give them a whirl over the holiday. Nadolig Llawen from South Wales
