2.
A lot of 80s metal bands used to do that, even Ozzy whose music featured quite a bit of keys. The reason they went on late was down to a problem with the keyboards according to the BBC presenters.
MB1. Apparently they wouldnt rise up through the floor when they pressed the button?
3. MB1. Theres a synth player that stands behind the amps?......thats a bit much dont you think?......body odour or halitosis?.....or do they just not like him?

10. MB1. Id take it back ,but check its nothing else first, dimmer switch?flourescent lights?.try it in another room,if its still doing it, take it back. However watch out for SODS LAW,which basically goes, the minute you plug it in, in the shop, it doesnt make the offending sound and makes you look rather silly. This has happened to me previously.
11.
I have to agree with these guys. Art and easily to hand to give them a spank!
MB1. So thats why they call you warwickhunt!

MB1. First bass i ever had was a kay, it was a tree with pickups not very nice at all really. However the first guitar Robert Smith owned apparently was a woolies special and can be heard on early cure recordings.
14. MB1. Its kingbass, jim! but not as we know it! i own one ,but it aint no prototype!
15. MB1. Maybe the american guy read the same diy bass book as the scotch guy.the strap holes on the warwick look a little like an aborted attempt at through body stringing?.totally pointless modifications,if you can call them that?
16. MB1. Ashdown perfect ten mini rig 2 seperate 10 inch speakers one 65watt head, ive got one had no problems with it . currently on sale at sound control for £99.Its got a input for cd player too,i dont play 5 string so i cant tell you how it reacts. The mini rigs are made under licence in china ,but that has not been any cause for grief so far.Your best bets try before you buy! well worth a trip to sound control. Ive been using Ashdown since they first set up business and have never had any trouble with them.
17. MB1. Seem to remember Henry "king thumb"Thomas playing through one of these on the television programme Rockschool, many moons ago! great amp!.Damn now thats got me what was the name of the girl who played the guitar?,and the dude on the drums?. MB1.
18. MB1. Yep that one looks like mine too!.just checked mine again, definately no 3 of 176.the auction does look straight, but ive had to mention it to ebay,so due to the guy not having any feedback theyll probably take it off.i cant believe warwick would make such a cockup, that means theres actually 3 no3s so far!.the BASS GALLERY have got one in at the moment, might give them a ring to find out what number that one is?.short of that its on to warwick with this one.mines signed by hans peter wilfer and is a great stunning bass.I wonder if theres been any other limited edition cockups? They are supposed to be 2003 but this makes me wonder? MB1.
19. MB1. Many thanks to everybody involved in sorting this out, strange the previous owner of my bass also thought he had bought number 3 of 176. The guy on ebay actually owns no 167 which originally he listed as 176(my bass)by mistake. So to conlude there was a limited run of 300 basses made, all in 2003.
20.
[I sold mine (a five-string) for £280, I think it was, a few months ago. So you ain't far off. Good basses, but saleability has been hit by the Rockbass phenomenon, I feel. If this was still regarded as 'entry level Warwick' it would automaticlaly go quicker. But have a bump on me. Nice example...
MB1. This is like the transition bass, inbetweenie bass, i dont understand why warwick didnt use the original warwick bridge on this, theyve used a warwick neck . free bump
21. MB1. Any idea on price?, are you interested in trades?, or is this a straight cash sale?
22. MB1. F**k The bass, lets all play gripmasters, and change the forum to gripmasterchat. If the gripmaster doesnt work for you HELLO DAVE , you can always sell it on ebay.right im off to learn Baba o riley on my gripmaster. MB1.
23. MB1. Well Alex heres hoping you make it to the brixton academy, shirley bassey made it to glastonbury so you never can tell. I find these days,i can find out much of what i need to know from fellow working bassists on basschat so i dont bother subscribing to BGM.As for all the ******* well you know who you are! MB1.
24. MB1. I kinda figured the guy might actually want opinions from an actual owner/user.not much point asking for opinions from people who havent got/or ever used one, must have been wrong! MB1.
25. MB1. I own a lot of Ashdown gear, and to be honest ,i havent had any trouble with it(touches wooden table firmly). However they do seem to be having a few problems with the gear assembled in china. The only Ashdown gear i own .that is made in china is the perfect ten mini rig and a Ashdown chorus pedal, and i have had no problems with either.I have spoken to Ashdown previously and they do go out of there way to help, should there be any problem ,and they are in the uk which is a plus should you need to speak to them.So i wouldnt be so quick to slag them off.
