There are some truely insane genious's out there, stop the typical brittish knocking everyone, as they sure play the arse off of me, amazing, although how one ever starts out on that style of playing is a musical mystery to me, I had a go on a chapman stick once, that stuffed me and I do tap the odd chord 4th when playing but as for them 2, the short clip withstanding....im sure a life in jazz on prozac awaits as for the funny faces, go watch robin trower the grand daddy of facial expression. ( whoopsie, ive started having a pop at 'em )
MB1. ive seen Robin Trower live, i agree the master of facial expression(and an amazing guitarist too.)

 10. MB1. This is each to there own really, every time i put a set of strings on a bass weather new or just replacing them after cleaning a fingerboard ,i put them on tune them up, stretch them, tune them up ,stretch them and tune them up ,until theyre stable.I really dont think you need to be this aggresive ,but it is important to stretch the string so the tuning becomes stable.Just putting a set of strings on without stretching youll find they soon go out of tune.Use a tuner though!!!!much more accurate.

 18. MB1. There are quite a few basses available in that price range but because youre left handed theyre not always going to be available or in stock(i gather youve figured this already).Even the second hand market is never going to be a wash with variety.A lot of manufacturers do offer left handed instruments at a higher price, due to the fact its not classed as a stock item.keep checking the basses for sale column and ebay.Whenever possible try before you buy!You cant go wrong with a fender, musicman, warwick.Warwickwise I personally prefer the thumb bass and they do come up from time to time on ebay.welcome to basschat, hope you find what your after!. All the best MB1.
 19. MB1. Heres hoping they rot in hell!.....Perhaps a little too trusting on your behalf though. will keep my eyes open! all the best MB1.
