  1. I thought that was the classic Trace sound ? SMX amps had two pre shapes. The classic, and (I think, but I'm sure someone will correct me as I can't remember ) an upper mid boost ?
  2. I have the Cocobolo top version. Really good basses. Barring disaster, I'm keeping mine GLWTS
  3. I loved mine. I only sold it because I no longer had the Helix, but as was said, it's a bloomin' good guitar in it's own right. Must resist. sees last month's CC statement. Resisted.....................................................................just
  4. Love mine GLWTS
  5. Why is this still here ? Absolute giveaway Have a bump
  6. Pray for @ash
  7. Also willing for buyer to arrange collection at their own risk, but it will be very well packed.
  8. Can post it, if I can arrange some insurance ? Parcelforce and most others will only insure musical instruments for loss, not damage. Even then it's only £100. ISTR one of us getting separate insurance from some one other than the carrier, so I could look into that. It will be very well packed either way.
  9. What do folks use for roundwounds on their Short Scale Sterling Stingrays ? Mine came with totally dead strings, so needs a new set. It was bought second hand, so I expected it, but don't have a clue if this uses a short scale set, or just cut down long scales ?
  10. As it's one in, one out now, my lovely Ibanez SRH500F has to go. It is really in mint condition, having been bought last year, played in our non smoking home only. It's a semi-hollow, fretless Soundgear with a bridge with individual Piezo pickups built in, along with volume and tone. Side dots are where they should be for a fretless, and offset fretboard markers at the top side of the bound Panga Panga fingerboard, which is also lined. However the lines are black, and I can't see them unless I'm looking for them. Belt and Braces ? Body is Okoume, with a Spruce top, with a contoured heel and arm rest. Neck is SRH45pc Jatoba/Walnut with a width of 38mm at the nut, and 62mm at 24th fret. It plays great, with the supplied D'Addario ECB81-5 Flatwound Strings and Ibanez's AeroSilk Piezo bridge doing a great double bass sound, and there's Mwah if you want it. Individual string Piezo volume can be adjusted on the back of the bass It didn't come with a case, but I bought a really good copy of the Ibanez case that comes with the Premium range, and I'll throw that in with it. Price is currently £699 new @ Andertons with no case, or bag, just a cardboard box. So hopefully, given the "as new" condition, and including the case, I'm in the right ballpark. I'm prepared to post, as I have a couple of bass boxes, but only at the buyer's postage and insurance expense. Paypal, bank transfer (must be showing in my account), or cash on collection. Any questions, just ask
  11. You could try Promenade Music ? I got my Mini CM 121P IV from.
  12. I'm a bit lost. Is the Warwick for sale too ?
  13. Try DV24. I asked GG to match their quote, which they did. I'd love to keep the SRH500F, but I have too many basses, and I'm not gigging now. Hence Mrs 2pods new rule (I think I'll count her shoes later, "Imelda !" )
  14. Been after one of these for ages, but every time one came up, I was either skint or needed something more urgently. But now, thanks to GuitarGuitar, I finally have one, and I must say, it has all the tones I had in my head. It's very easy to dial in Messiers Giblin, Thompson, Pino type sounds, and just as easy to make it sound like a "normal" bass. Obviously, the two magnetic pickup volumes and their active bass and treble eq, the Piezo volume and tone, make it a very, versatile bass with Mwah to die for. Construction is nice. All round and smooth, though because of the extended cutaway and finger (arm length, more like) board, I was playing one position up at first The only thing is now I'll probably get rid of my Ibby SRH500F even though it sounds more double bass-like, as We are now operating a "One in, One out" policy. So I've been told
  15. How did yesterday go ?
  16. Forget the Audio Interface. I'm definitely out. Ibanez SRF700 Portamento arrived yesterday.
  17. Wait, what ? Does that mean an audio interface doesn't count then ?
  18. I'm currently looking for a used 4 string version I see they've gone up to £999 or thereabouts. I wonder how the new Panga Panga fingerboard, and Obeche (I think, ) wings jobs, compare to the older Rosewood fingerboard and and Mahogany version. Also, I thought the control arrangement was Piezo volume, Piezo Tone, Barts Volume, Barts Balance, and Bass and Treble for the Barts ? ISTR an old post somewhere complaining that if the Piezo is being used, either one or both EQ controls didn't work properly ?
  19. Another request for John Giblin
  20. BOSS SY-1000 £620 plus GK3 guitar, GK3B bass (does up to 6 string) 13pin pickups, and 1 x 3 metre 13pin cable posted to you. I may as well, as if I'm selling this, I won't need the pickups. 21. Fender Roland Ready Strat £520 ONO (not cheaper GC-1 version) Fender (Mexican) Roland Ready Strat 2005,and 3M 13pin cable Strat in great condition but with one very small chip, and two very small hard to see unless you're looking for them scratches, which I'll try and show on the pics. Really nice feel, plays well Strat. Brown Sunburst, with rosewood fingerboard, 5 way switch, whammy bar etc PLUS 13 pin socket, Synth (whatever is connected at the end of the 13pin cable)/Mix/Guitar selector switch, and + and - buttons. All works and plays great. n.b. There are no actual sounds in the guitar. It can be played as a normal Strat, but needs something like 13pin guitar synth unit e.g. Boss SY-1000, Boss GP10, Roland, VG99, Roland GR55 etc to use the synth controls. I have good feedback on both here, ebay under 2pods. Unfortunately, I don't have a hard case, but it will be packed well if needed. postage would have to be worked out with prospective buyers. In the photos with the scratches, don't be put off by what looks like two lines with highlights in them, it's just our LED lights. Any questions, or more pics, just ask
  22. Great news. Wishing you well with your recovery
  23. I ended up doing something the same. I have a Presonus Quantum 2626 8 in Thunderbolt 3 interface. It's faster than a fast thing, but has no built in monitoring unless your running a DAW. I was looking at both the Octopre+, and the Behringer version for expansion via ADAT, but I also wanted something I could leave my gear plugged into and use without the PC being on. None of the expansion preamps had any standalone monitoring either, so I hit on the (expensive) solution of using a 3rd generation Focusrite Scarlett 18i20. It was a bit of a faff, but it works in both situations.
