  1. Has anyone got one of those stands for holding multiple basses? id like to know how much they raise the bass off the floor - I’ve got an area with limited headroom - a bass standing vertical doesn’t quite fit, but with the slant angle I think it might work? This sort of thing? If you have one, what is the vertical height (floor to top of headstock) ?? - for a typical 34/35” scale bass. https://www.gak.co.uk/en/warwick-rockbag-7-multiple-guitar-rack-stand-f-p-rs20882/7364?gclsrc=aw.ds&gad_source=1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIhevc_NC0gwMVBuN3Ch2-rwXnEAQYBCABEgLQufD_BwE Any help appreciated to save ordering and returning!!
  2. Yes - every Thursday - invaluable for bonding, learning new material, and honing existing songs. Good also for developing less experienced musicians….
  3. I did !! It’s quite catchy and your newbie on the trumpet did well !!
  4. Had one of these for a while and they are great basses................GLWTS
  5. Thanks for asking - not allowed to drive until 7 Jan, and the physio sheet says "light duties" from 8 weeks and "return to normal duties at 12 weeks" which for me is 3rd Feb. I'll have to ask where playing bass fits into that as the info sheet is for "normal" tendon/bone breaks and minet was a complex fracture needing 4 wires/pins (which come out at 8 weeks) and a bone graft - don't want to take any chances. By the end of it I'll be an expert one-handed Moog player! I literally thank God every day, as it could have been much worse......😱 Meanwhile, I'm wearing this contraption 24/7
  6. …….and in other news a couple of weekends back I nearly severed my left thumb with a mitre/chop saw! Grateful to the hospital surgeons for repairing it. Thankfully other team members are stepping into the breach, and I’ll play the Moog for some of the Christmas “feature” songs (fortunately I’m right handed)!! .
  7. Nice playing Mustafa!! Great bass and nice guy to deal with too. GLWTS.
  8. If this was happening at my church, then I think I would want to take a break/stand back a bit, and if I was in a large enough town/city spend some weeks attending another church to allow myself to gain some sanity and perspective. I see you are in East London, so there should be loads of places to go and get some refreshment? The bottom line is that we are there to offer up our skills and serve, but if the attitudes and approach of others are as toxic as you indicate, I don't see how that can happen without some sort of divine intervention! You clearly feel very passionately about the musical element of worship and so I wonder if there is a leader or leadership team that you can ask to meet to share your frustrations - they might equally want to see what happens change for the better. Thinking of you - if you want to meet up for a chat I'm in London Tues-Thurs for work near Liverpool St Station.
  9. Sounds like a lack of leadership to me. The kind of stuff you mention would just not be accepted at our church. The time for giving people an “opportunity” to learn or hone their skills is the mid week worship team evenings not a public service!
  10. Coincidentally we are just learning this song at the mo so thanks for the play through!!
  11. Lovely, but don’t do it !! If this was 5 string……!!
  12. Elixir Nanoweb for me - pricey but they last for ages and tension has always seemed ok for me. Tapered is handy for Warwick’s as the fat ones sometimes don’t fit through the bridge anchor without filing the bridge or squashing the string with pliers 😂
  13. Yeah I like a 130 B String personally. That is a lovely bass and with a fabulous grain 👍🏻👍🏻
  14. Sad to be asked to stand down over something so basic! Hope your leaders might see the light and ask you to get involved again !
  15. Block inlays my fave, but either way there are excellent stick on ones ! Dot inlays could be done v cheaply and easily by a competent luthier or carpenter …! lovely lovely bass GLWTS
  16. Ooh thanks! It sounds killer too. If I didn’t have the Spector and the Warwick this would be a keeper! Basschatters - hit me up with sensible offers !! (Whatever sensible means !)
  17. You and me both, although I prefer Burl or Birdseye natural personally !! 😂
  18. Lovely bass. If only they did it in 5 string! GLWTS
  19. I think most of us can relate to this experience Richard although thankfully I’m not also responsible for sorting out our livestream or words projection !!!
  20. Yep - that is “mad” but it’s very nice!
  21. Nice job! The Warwick on the left is my favourite - Ltd edition?
  22. Ahh yes - happy to post pretty much anywhere. I’ve got several bass boxes I could use. Would be insured obviously. Collection would be Essex or London or can meet up around the M25 for the Southerners!!
  23. Ahh yes - I think most Euros LX are 9lb+, and the USA stuff can be very heavy (relatively speaking!!). Are the RSTs chambered or just well chosen woods?
  24. Hang on a minute 9lb is featherweight for a Spector !! 😂
  25. Thanks - yes they are vary rare indeed, even the more “common” sunburst ones. I’ve been asked about string spacing and it has the Fender bridge with grooved saddles, so you can adjust between (I think) 18mm and 19mm or thereabouts. Current measure across all 5 strings at bridge is 75mm.
