That is no reason - our guitarist never lifts a finger to help set anything up. he doesn't even come up with an excuse, he just doesn't. I have never had that in a band with women in.
-
It is the same thing, and both are equally valid in the right context.

She doesn't like the sound of most women singers - a bit odd as she is a singer but that is her preference. She has nothing against groups with women in them, or even backing singers, just female main vocals that she just doesn't like There are no bands with female singers she likes. A few she respects, but none she actually likes. And yes, the last touring groups I saw (apart from Gary Numan) were Wolf Alice and Within Temptation, so she wouldn't go to those.

Maybe they want to play in Doctor Browns https://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/news/15709195.women-cant-sing-rock-doctor-browns-middlesbrough-bans-female-fronted-bands/ And no, it isn't illegal to advertise for a post for someone in a band with a no women rule. I can kind of understand if it is the singer, it does change the whole type of the band (my wife would never go and see a female fronted band for instance). Frankly in my last band I wouldn't have wanted a woman in there as it would have been embarassing with one of the other members of the band!

thing is, we can put it up and we don't want old threads to go bad, but we needed to shed some space, the server physically stopped as it was out of space. I can put it back up a bit if it is causing a lot of issues, and hopefully we can get more space soon, and then it won't be an issue.

It is, randomly on posts - the server is critically low on disk space and until the problem is properly resolved, the system isn't caching properly. Hopefully it can get sorted soon -
I do like the idea of the ... lightwave? is it? Be interested to try one - there was one at bass direct for ages, was sort of tempted but wihout hearing it hard to say. I am very happy with the Ibanez EHB bridge, has forward back, up down, side to side and is very solid in use. Or even the general monorails that they do.

Do the B1-Four patches sound any better / different running on the B6?
-
That would imply had a room where the basses werent and I do sometimes have to go into the kitchen or bathroom!

Agreed - this thread has gone very wrong. I am locking it now to stop it from getting worse until the mods can come along and see what is going on. I have also hidden the posts with italian swearing in. There is a no swearing rule in this forum, please don't try and go round it by using a different language

What are your views on the vinyl s(pl)urge?

I loved it when I was young, the whole ritual of the music, but then in my late teens and early 20s I moved a lot and it was a pain moving around. Then CDs came out later on and the sound quality was a revelation so I got rid of all my albums and got CDs. I loved the sleves and liner notes and records had more 'value' as objects than CDs, which I understand, but I couldn't be bothered with it now. I mostly listen to all my music on random, but if I want to actually listen I will listen to the whole thing. Not very common these days. -
Correction - our borders are very weak, we aren't checking much that comes in, we have chosen to stop ourselves exporting with anyone close to us.
-
Indeed - that was the point, it is a problem now but wasn't before brexit.
-
This was about 2nd hand goods though, not new items that thomman sell.
-
That was never really that much of an issue - I did several pre-brexit trades and the shipping wasn't really a problem.

Not really because the person selling it in spain (for instance) is not responsible for the costs of VAT and import duty of every non EU country in the world, which are all different. Unfortunately now we have removed ourself from the customs union that includes us, so our choices are reduced (in many things). THey just have to list where they are (the EU) and how much they are selling it for. It is the responsibilty for someone outside the EU to work out what their local customs and VAT charges are, because they are not fees they are getting. And if you find something from somewhere else is too expensive, the best option is to not get it. Sadly (or maybe luckily) there were a few basses I have seen that I would have bought a few years ago before we left but now with charges they are too much.

Complaining that a bass from the EU was too cheap?
