1. Has anyone made their own wall hanger of a diagonal or horizontal type with success? I'd like to do it with maybe some angle brackets, but better to see what you chaps say or have any pic's of thanks.
2. At around '74 I wanted some sticks to give me more power and I bought Billy Cobham's signature sticks that you needed wrists of iron to use. I broke 2 pairs and still have this pair that I haven't used for years. Great sticks. 3. I packed in drinking alcohol for a couple of years and then I got gout in right toe. Hellish painful so I started having a drink again and never had it since.
4.
I'm assuming it's a fretted bass, Colonel36? If so, the strings shouldn't touch the fretboard itself much at all. Andy
Yes..correct Andy.
5. Thanks gentlemen.
6. Now don't go shoutin' at me here. If you were to ...let's say for sayings sake, clean up a fingerboard properly that would normally be oiled and then prepare it properly followed by finishing it with a couple of spray coats of clear lacquer, what would the downside be assuming that it's a brilliant finish with all the frets nice and clean also. Would it affect the sound badly and what way.
7. Just bought a bass from Tom and he posted it immediately. Lovely bass and I found him to be a true gentleman also....plus, he gave me a free gig bag. Couldn't be better. Thanks. Rob
8. Wonderful. Never thought I'd hear someone sing the fabulous Christina Aguilera like she does.

16. 100 guitar riffs countdown.. It's on now if anyone's interested.
17. This gig is perfect for him. Especially from 2.15 on... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UZfXTVx0sKg
18. I think he'd fit nicely in "The Who" if good enough.
19. Good luck to him. At least he can play and to be fair, what he's doing isn't easy.
20. I'm just keeping it simple here so.. Silencer pads if needed and best make sure they have good bounce or they're pretty much useless. Timing ...nice and steady playing along to different music with good wrist action. Rudiments and practise/ practise/ practise. It's always good to see how to fit in a particular rudiment and not just get bored doing it on it's own so, this guy is pretty good at showing how to incorporate them. All the very best to your lad and at a good age for it as well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QRpd0G6fxXk
21. "All Things Must Pass"
22. Roll over Beethoven
23.
Being bit of an odd job player I get to play with plenty of different drummers. Most are of a good standard and have an impressive cv and qualifications from significant colleges, yet some do just don't cut it and swing like a concrete lamp post, despite everything being technically ok. You know, in time, comfortable volume, nice kit etc but it just ain't happening. One guy I play with however does everything the same to a casual listen but grooves so hard I'll be buzzing the whole day after a gig. The drummer who always has the room dancing and going crazy- the guy who's never done a minutes private practice in his life and is probably the least educated of any musician I've ever played with. So what is it that makes a good drummer, I can't work it out by myself!? Musicianship, a very hard thing to define....
Abe. This guy has timing, light and shade and when he cuts loose...... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y02dFYFAuz0
24. I've always liked this bass sound. I think the drummer would probably find himself in jail these days though with the front of his bass. Funny how times change.
