Thanks Chris....must have taken EBMM some time to match the trans crimson colours on the neck and body considering the maple/mahogany woods employed. Well the ship has sailed on the roadworn I was looking to acquire so no longer any real hurry to part with this. If someone wants to offer me £1100 fine, or if someone wants to offer me a like value trade I'm up for offers

Well nearly 6000 hits so time to go for the final price drop to £1100!!!! Just had a bit of bad news on my latest band project so conversion of some wood to cash would come in handy.

In the same position myself mate (that's why the Ray is up for sale). Very versatile are single H rays but can't do the P bass thing so well.

Pretty fine Ray that! I've a black Ray of about the same age with a highly figured neck......must have slipped through the QC police.

Hiya SS, Sorry mate looks like the P bass I was after will be traded tomorrow so I'm afraid this won't be available. My Bad didn't get around to pulling this thread. I've come to the conclusion that I'm destined to stay with this bass for a while longer, in fact I've just emailed strings and things for a replacement 5 ply vintage pick guard so that I can get the old one off and get it buffed up. Thanks for all those that expressed an interest, at some point I'll be looking for my 50th birthday bass that will be a vintage of some description or other, this will then be put to good use to help fund it!
