2. Fender Bassman 100w and 15" cabinet for sale. Located in Leeds. This amp has been in my smoke free studio for 12 years. Well looked after. Had a full service just under a year ago by Macamps in Leeds, who is a superb valve amp tech. This amp is working and sounding amazing. Feel free to come and view if you are interested. You can reply here or fling me a text on 0780923460. Thanks
3. another drop on the price of this bass. its a real stinger to be selling for such a low price but needs must
4. thanks man. hey is it a veri thin guitar or bass you got? i managed to get hold of a 1960 verithin guitar a year ago with the toaster pick ups. it's now sitting beside my 63 verithin bass. so many people have no time for them but i love them
5. just bumping this up to let people see i've put a bit of a price drop on this bass.... tough tims an all that. it is a cracker of a bass and sounds beefy as hell
6. I'M DROPPING THE PRICE ON THIS ONE....... AGAIN! CAN'T GO ANY LOWER GRAB A REAL BARGIN for sale is one vox cougar semi acoustic bass serial number 53346. i have not been able to date this exactly but from the style of it it is an early model, which makes it 63/64. the bass plays great. nice action. neck is straight and the intonation is good. great 60's sound. it is a short scale bass. the finish has cracking in it. this is common as they use a thick lacquer on the vox basses. these cracks are in the lacquer NOT the body and do not affect the bass. it comes with the original case which is a little tatty but for those who like the complete vintage package could easily be restored. everything is working on this bass, the pick ups are good and beefy. this bass as far as i know is quite rare especially in this condition, it does not need any work and is in gigable condition. feel free to come and try it out, i'm in leeds 07803923460. i would prefer not to post this item for obvious reasons but if there is a serious buyer i will work out the cost of postage... £600

9. more updates----- serial numbers on pots date this bass to the last week of 1974, 1377451
10. its been used as my main bass on a professional level for 12 years, so it is set up well. better than something thats been hanging around in shop. great re-fret a few months back. nice and smooth even play.
11. i agree this is a stupid price...... in a s**t situation where i have to sell it hence the low price.........still no takers though...
12. cheap because i needed a quick sale.. think a new one costs more! still not shifting though
13. 1975 fender jazz bass for sale. serial number 597517, which puts it at 1975. i have owned this bass for 12 years and this is a reluctant sale. it is a fantastic instrument which has an incredible sound and is an easy comfortable play. it had a professional re-fret 3 months ago. it is a natural wood body with a black scratch plate, original pick ups and a rose wood finger board with the square mother of pearl inlays. the bass is what you would class as road worn. it has been gigged a lot. please feel free to come and try. i can be contacted on 07803923460. £1400. I originally had this bass up for £1600 but have not had much interest so i have just decided to put it up for what i need financially and hope that someone bites. i have had an offer from a shop who have a buyer. they are willing to give me this price but are putting a hefty commission on top so i would rather not do this and give someone a bit of a bargain instead. there were questions raised about the fact that this bass has a 4 bolt neck instead of a 3 bolt neck i'll put one of the quotes that appeared:
[sub]I've owned a '74 Jazz with a three bolt and a '76 with a four bolt. Also, care less about what Fender and any books on the subject say about serial numbers being issued in god-given years. [/sub] [sub]If any of my numerous past and present instruments are any refrence I think you're likely to find three year overlaps on any given Fender Jazz between 1969 and 1978. [/sub] [sub]Between those years the matchng of serial numbers to date stamps is very, very loose. [/sub] [sub]Between 1969 and 1973 it's almost as if they had three years worth of pre-stamped neck-plates in a box and picked them out at random. I've had a 332*** from 1970 and a 305*** from 1973.[/sub]

14. thanks for the help martin. i'll get on with finding these finding these things out. greg, i'm sorry if i through my toys out at your comment. the situation that i'm in that is warranting me selling my favourite bass that i have had for 12 years is not a good one. i miss read your comment as something that was making it more difficult to sell my bass by casting doubt on the validity of the instrument, rather than something that could actually be deemed as helpful. As i said it is difficult enough coming to this decision and when i miss understood this comment it was the spark that lit the already volatile toy bomb nestled in my pram. thank you for your helpful comments on trying to properly date this bass...
