  1. Then it sounds to me like you have a V1 unit from the initial Kickstarter campaign. These didn’t rumble from the aux in.
  2. You don’t hear any signal with the aux in? Or it doesn’t rumble?
  3. It sounds weird but try pulling the US plug out of the UK adaptor just a touch, I find with mine that if I push it all the way in, it doesn’t make the connection properly.
  4. Worth every penny IMO. Admittedly I got an artist deal so didn’t pay quite that much, but I still bought a backup set as I was so impressed. No regrets here at all
  5. I took the Sadowsky P5 with TI Flats to my gig last night, only to find out the band I was playing with play with their guitars tuned to Eb! I didn't fancy loosening my strings anymore due to their exceptionally low tension and the low action that is currently set on the bass, so I used the Simple Pitch effect set 100% wet, and the interval to -1 Semitone. Voila, entire bass tuned down a half-step. No latency that I could detect, the tone wasn't noticeably different (especially not in the mix), and it meant I could leave my bass tuned to E and therefore keep my action and tension as normal. Fantastic! I'd been skeptical of this in the past, but wow. Seriously impressed with the results. HX Stomp 1 - Higgie 0.
  6. Love mine so much I bought a second pair as a backup. They are truly excellent! I no longer use an amp on 95% of my gigs and these IEMs give me all the heft and low end I could want!
  7. I’ll take one on todays gig! You are correct, you can’t tell visually. But the notes will rumble higher up the G string than the first version, and the Aux In will trigger the rumble too.
  8. I have a Silver one and a black one. The silver one is the newer revised model that vibrates at higher frequencies than my black v1. The silver one gets all the use!
  9. A lot of pros are playing with IEMs, (myself included) and the Backbeat is an integral part of my setup now! I play all kinds of stages with no amp - it’s usually better for the sound engineer not to have to combat the sound coming off the stage, too.
  10. AFAIK there are no other changes - V1 and V3 are functionally identical.
  11. If this one is indeed sold, and someone is looking for one, PM me as I’ve been thinking of selling mine 👍
  12. Sounds like strange behaviour to me, i’ve never noticed mine do that. The ‘Learn’ function is for MIDI, so I don’t think that has anything to do with it. Sorry I can’t be more helpful, apart from hopefully eliminating that line of enquiry!
  13. Remember the arrows (GLXD-> compressor-> TH) mean "the output of 'X' goes to the input of 'Y', and so forth" as opposed to looking at the actual pedals. Your signal chain will usually run from right to left (pedal input is usually on the right of the pedal). So in this instance you would connect the output of the wireless unit to the input of the compressor, output of the compressor into the input of the preamp, then output of the preamp to your amp input. All you are doing is placing a device (or a few devices) between your bass and amp. Think of it like a flow chart. The output of one, is what the input of the next device receives.
  14. I've played this and it's wonderful! Johann isn't exaggerating about the even sound all over the neck. It really is quite astonishing. Good luck with the sale mate!
  15. Lets get this sold. Price drop to £525
  16. Envelope filter with a light Overdrive running into it will get you close.
  17. Yes sir, the one and only! Full lineup is on the website. There are some absolute monsters in the band!
  18. Thank you all so much for your thoughts and feedback. The enthusiasm and positivity the show has been met with here and on social media is amazing, and really encouraging. Thanks again! 🍻
  19. That’s why they’re there 🤪
  20. It certainly is! Especially when everyone involved is so bloody talented! Also fun to do something with my mrs! She's on trombone and her brother is on trumpet. Thanks mate! As I said, all feedback gladly received, and it's always nice to hear another point of view! I have to admit I was unsure about having dancers during our initial discussions about the show too, but I was gradually won over, and now wouldn't have it any other way! As a musician, yeah I'd probably prefer to just watch the band. But from a punter's point of view? I think it works really well. Throughout the night they will be down in the audience interacting with the crowd, getting people dancing etc, so they do actually have a practical purpose too! Great to hear some points from someone who has been involved in things like this too. Thanks for taking the time mate!
  21. Nice one! I had noticed that in places myself, but after I resized my window it stopped happening...Leading me to forget to address it with the web developer. Thanks! Cheers man! Thanks for checking it out! Sorry to hear your project fizzled out. It's certainly hard work trying to make things like this work logistically due to the sheer amount of people and schedules you have to accommodate, so I can see why they tend to go by the wayside! Thanks for checking us out!
  22. Thank you mate! Yes there was always going to be a low B there, let’s face it! 😂 Thanks mate! Everyone is doing it just for exposure so we’re fine in that department! …Just kidding. We’re confident we can make it pay, as the clientele we are targeting would be able to afford it 😂 Very kind of you, thanks!
  23. This is precisely the kind of thing I was looking for. Thanks so much for taking the time to write this out. We are self contained for the most part, with the PA and sound equipment supplied by Kev (the aforementioned Welsh Wizard!) but will be hiring in the lighting on a per gig basis. Thanks again for your insight - very valuable info.
  24. A friend of mine came to me at the beginning of the year with an idea for a new "Soul" themed show/band. 17pc band including 4 vocalists, 4 horns, and 3 strings, as well as 2 keys, bass, drums, guitar and percussion, and some dancers in addition to that - Basically a full on production! All the classics from Stevie Wonder, Chic, Marvin Gaye, Earth Wind and Fire, etc. I got in touch with some of the most talented musicians that I know, and everyone I contacted was up for it. Happy days! We had Kev, our resident Welsh Wizard (and coincidentally, our guitarist) arrange a medley, and then we got together and filmed it at the end of May. The audio was all recorded live on the day (no miming here!) and subsequently mixed by Kev, and we had a 2 man crew in to film us, and then I edited the video. The first time that we all played together as a band was the day the Promo was recorded, as it was super hard to arrange any rehearsals due to Covid. Considering this, I'm super chuffed with how it came out. The idea of the show is that it is a complete entertainment experience. A host, 3 course meal, DJ after the show etc. "A Night To Remember!" as our tagline says. We're playing on NYE at Porchester Hall in London. We will also be available for corporate events and functions. You can find out all the details about the show and members of the band, as well as book tickets (if you feel so inclined) on our website. Sorry for the self promotion, just wanted to share something that I'm really proud of. It was a really valuable learning experience putting something like this together, having always just been the bass player in the past. Also my new NYC Sadowsky P Bass sounds lovely, so I wanted to share it with you lovely lot! Haha! Any and all feedback and questions gladly received, I would love to hear your thoughts on the video, website, and the brand overall, as a product.
