Here are pics of my setup, as promised: Boss OC-2, Dredgetone Angler (On loan from Toasted), Fuzz (Toasted put this one together for me), One of my Mutron III's, an Akai Headrush E2, and a Korg DT-10BK, powered by a Burkey Flatliner on a Diago Showman Board. This is just my current setup as I've sold all my patch leads, but havent bought an George L's yet. Lurking just out of shot at the top are: Catalinbread Serrano Boost, MXR M-117R Flanger, Visual Sound Visual Volume, Digitech WH-1 Whammy. My other Mutron III, Akai Deep Impact, Mutron Phasor (not working), Guyatone SV-2, Demeter Compulator (custom paint job), Tonefactor Hellbaby, Dunlop 105Q, Analogman Mini Chorus with Deep Mod, Loopmaster Tap-Tempo switch (I use this for scrolling down the presets on the Deep Impact). The guitar is just a cheap AXL Les Paul copy, I hardly play it. My Babies!! Lakland DJ4 and DJ5, both with Aero Pickups and J-Retro Pre-Amp. And last but not least: My Rig - EA iAmp 600, through a pair of 1st Gen MarkBass cabs - 115, and 410. Thunderous

I've been experimenting trying to fret notes without having my thumb on the back of the neck. It feels weird to say the least On another note, my left thumb actually bends backwards 90 degrees at the middle joint (not the joint where your thumb meets your hand). It's completely painless, so I don't even really know it's happening when I play.

It also has the 5th^/Oct^ setting, for those who don't want to shell out for the Bass Whammy. But I;ve heard stories of the Bass overdriving the unit, as it has an input gain knob that can be very fiddly to tweak. I wanted no nonsense operation so I sprang for the WH-1. Just plug in, choose your setting, and sweep away

I really didn't like the EX-7 - It didn't seem to track too badly, but A) I tried it with guitar, and B ) the feel of the treadle under your foot really wasn't the best. The WH-4 [i]feels[/i] better, but the sweep range is really limited. The WH-1 has the largest sweep range of the lot, tracks superbly, and ultimately, just sounds a bit warmer and less cold and digital (despite being a digital pedal itself). If you're after a Whammy, and want the best performance from it, I really would recommend saving up the pennies for an original. It's soooo much smaller than the re-issue too.
