1. I got a compliment for how well i was doing from my wife. I plugged in my MP3 and playing along to the track, and she thought the whole backing track was me.
2. I guess we are coming close to the end of the 60`s era of performers. R.I.P
3. I got the answer from Ashdown, and this is it. So not really much the wiser. This was the question I am looking at buying one of these very soon. Just a question about them please. What is the advantages of the drophead with Pre-Amp Tubes 2 x 12ax7, against the CTM 15 1 x ECC83 pre amp valve? There is no advantage as such.. They are just different amps.. Mainly personal preference..
4. I have emailed Ashdown, so waiting for the response. Every bit of info i can find, including Ashdown`s website states the spec, but i guess, the stores are just cutting and pasting from them
5. Other than the Drophead comes with a 10 inch speaker, and costs £200 more, the only difference i can see is that the standalone comes with 1 x ECC83 pre amp valve, and the drophead comes with 2 x 12ax7 pre amp valves. Is there any advantage in the drophead having 2x preamp valves?
6. Hopefully he will get caught soon. If he applies to join a band every week, he can rack up a fair bit of cash. I would maybe tell him that the word will be out that he steals kit at auditions. At least that way, people will be wary of him and not give him the chance.
7. If only you were closer. It is just what i am looking for
8. Nice photos. I have only been there once, and bought an awesome bass. Recommend a visit to anyone. I really want the Clover Apeiron he has, but i haven`t got £1100
9. I was insulating my shed with Planet Rock on. I thought of you when Keepon Rocking came on
10. I would report it. It may stop it happening to someone else
11. If i was right handed, i would have blown all my savings on that. Awesome looking bass
12. Neil Young would be proud (maybe). At least you were up and doing it.
13. I don`t really see any point of having barely audible low rumblings.
14. That is very clever. First time i have seen anything like this
15. I would say that if you had a tuner from a dodgy batch, you would have found out quicker than 13 years later
16. Burns left the band in 1974, so he wasn`t on the plane.Only 3 of the band got killed on the plane, 6 survived. He rejoined for a few dates, most notably when they were inducted to the Hall of Fame. Just Gary Rossington left who formed the original band.
17. I understand it. The company probably pay thier workers a good living wage, and have good working conditions. I assume they are all hand made to the highest, exact standards, and not manufactured by machine. Some comapanies target the high end of the market, because that is where they want to be. Hagen Daz is the ice cream equivalent.
18. Just read Lynyrd Skynyrds original drummer has died in a car crash
19. It should be a good night. What is weird, is that if you click to buy a ticket on Ticketmaster, it directs you to a partner site for inflated tickets for sale. Why are they not getting done for touting?
20. Whether people like them or not, they are a one of the most iconic bands around. They could give a flawless performance, and people would still find something to moan about. I would go for it Blue, as the memories you will get, and an ambition fulfilled is worth more than money. Don`t listen to these sad sacks
21. I like some of their stuff, but they will probably be the only band that will ever sell out stadiums after 55 years with never splitting up. I remember Led Zeppelin`s tribute concert to Ahmet Erteghun, in 2007.something like 20 million people applied for tickets. Not quite the same as being a continuous band though. The only other band that has the same longevity is The Who. I prefer them to the Stones, but never quite made it as big . Anyway, good luck with getting tickets Blue.
22.
I chickened out and returned it for repair! Thomann have made that easy so points for them. If anyone's interested I'll let you know what the repair is like in a few weeks...
I will be interested. Always nice to know how companies respond to difficulties. I would like one of those Vikings myself. I wanted an Epiphone Jack Casady, but can`t get left handed, so that Viking is the next choice
23.
Thanks Stephen, really kind of you to say so. They are getting a bit carried away wanting to do another album. The amount of time it took for the two gaytartists to do 4 tracks, I doubt I have the life expectancy of another album.
Having listened to the CD about 10 times it is still really enjoyable. Not one track on there i don`t like. It is earmarked for going in my jukebox.
24. Watched recurring dream. The music is a bit of nothing, but with the video, it just goes with the mood of it. It all fits together. You should get into film score. I liked it.
25. I see Joni Mitchell is in intensive care http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-32142332
