  1. These only mute open strings though 👍
  2. Try a wanted ad here, too
  3. I’ve only just realised the pickups are hum cancelling. Very useful. I’ll record something with the back pickup soon which sounds incredibly fat!

No the first one! Just wanted to do a little Alan Partridge.

Sorry that was just a noise
  6. Sorry didn't see this. Thanks, it’s a great backing track to play to. I wanted to do a simple but phat line and work on getting the levels sounding right which I think sounds ok now. When I actually record though the backing is too loud so I’ll have to play with the settings a bit. It’s just my VB99 into GarageBand via USB. Using a bit of compression and reverb as normal. Cheers 🥂 Oh here’s the track if you fancy playing along:
  7. That's great, not surprised it's sold out for now (edit - oh it's not now, just ordered one!) Here's a similar book aimed at future watch collectors (I've ordered it for my son). Consumerism - get them started early
  8. Bought a pedal, no worries at all, thanks!
  9. Sounds easy but very difficult to add in something like that which isn't part of the software we use. There's a big update due so perhaps there's some new functionality around it in there. You're welcome, by the way
  10. Here’s yours: To leave feedback for someone else just search to see if they have one already; if not just make one for them. Here’s the search I made, just change your name to the username of the person you’re looking for https://www.basschat.co.uk/search/?&q=Beastie&type=forums_topic&nodes=23&search_and_or=or&search_in=titles
  11. Here's a little sample. All my usual excuses for playing and recoding skill - but hopefully you can hear the sound of the bass. Just my bass into the interface and Garageband with a backing track. I've only just worked out how to do fade ins, so I have a lot to learn still. I can never seem to get the levels sounding right after exporting!
  12. There's a Facebook group where occasionally some come up for sale, or where you can intimidate current owners into giving theirs up.
  13. Sounds like sour grapes to me 😁
  14. Bass Direct have a good range 👍🏼
  15. When lockdown ends you’d be more then welcome to try it
  16. Sorry your joke doesn’t work any more ☺️
  17. Edited title for you
  18. Even though I’ve had this bass for a few months now, I’ve only really had time to properly appreciate it recently. I have spent the last couple of days playing it and playing with the dip switches and various compressors. It’s just a fantastic instrument. So sleek and smooth in the hand and the sound is best described as ‘delicious’ Ive taken some pics using the fake depth of field effect on my phone which sometimes works ok but often causes glitches. There’s been very little natural light today anyway so I might get some better ones tomorrow. I’m working out my recording setup and plan to get some samples up soon. Super sexy take on the jazz shape, thinner and a bit smaller. The neck is the best bit - dead flat, impeccable fretwork. I like the font! String through body and battery box. Dip switches inside cover which is awkward but set-and-forget. Angled neck heel and threaded inserts. She has a few dents and marks but black hides them well!
  19. Looks great, exactly what I'm planning to do. Backbeat missed a trick by not offering these cables as an upgrade!
  20. For your female extension did you get an unbalanced cable or a stereo one?
  21. Looks great - have you tried feeding the stage mix into the input via the receiver? I had to put my backbeat in charge last night for the first time - it’s lasted ages! Decided to put it on my comfort strapp because it’s easier to get on and off the bass with the Dunlop locks.
  22. I’m not sure bumping the tread is really that useful - it’s highly unlikely that someone would see this before entering dealings with Mason, more likely they’ll find it after they search for him. Hopefully there will be some updates from the police/action fraud soon? Anyone heard anything?
  23. Gonna need pics of that! Locking female Jack sounds like a good idea. I might copy. And the hair band! I was thinking about heat shrinking the cables together to keep it neat.
  24. Tempted to try a boss wl20 from the output to my rig actually 🤔
