  1. Price drop: £600 plus postage at cost (if required)
  2. Looks like I have a box and can include 48 hour delivery in my asking price
  3. The stasis is the same on Reverb and eBay. Assume its a combination of post-Christmas belt-tightening, the continuing cost of living crisis and just general geopolitical uncertainty
  4. He's in Margate, on the south coast
  5. Since the OP hasn't responded yet, here is the relevant snippet from the ad: "Suitable for all styles except arco (using bow)"

    Peak Wal?

Would not surprise me. Lots of premium objets soared in price during lockdown and have been falling back towards earth in the past year. Check out the second hand market for Rolex watches, for example, which has dived by well over 10%. Pedigree dog breed prices too. And as we can see on BassChat, throw in the CoL crisis on top and the market for buying and selling quality basses is well and truly frozen.
  7. A more extensive review from Bass the World
  8. Kay reissue of the short scale (31.25") model famously played by Howlin' Wolf bass player, Andrew “Blueblood” McMahon. Excellent condition. Very light and thumpy and with cool white art deco (?) case. In exact same condition as when I bought it from @kristo nearly a year ago as the Americana band/project it was bought for never came to fruition (common BC story ....). Prefer handover in SW London as don't currently have a box. However, willing to post at cost if given time to source something protective enough. Bit cheeky (hope he doesn't mind) but the picture is one of Kristo's (as alluded to, its not left my house or been used since I acquired it so is in exact same condition) and I attach his FS link with other pics. kvrcatalogmodern.pdf
  9. Like @Beedster its an itch I would like to scratch at some point. Violin basses seem pretty versatile as evidenced by their use by reggae greats (Robbie Shakespeare etc) as well as industrial punksters Cabaret Voltaire (below).
  10. That was a 34" scale "horizontal" banjo bass! I would just be intrigued to hear what a full DB-scaled banjo bass sounds like!
  11. Still FS as those medical bills don't pay themselves. Hard to think you will find an early 70s Mustang in better condition
  12. Voila. Not as exciting as you maybe hoped!
  13. NAMM had a very nice new version of this bass with f-hole. Lovely
  14. Haha, no! But have bought and sold too many basses, including to each other, over the years 🤪
  15. I have had this problem also when the nut slot had been filed too wide and I then used a narrow gauge A (specifically a TI Jazz Flat A). My work arounds were (1) to restring carefully so the string was emerging from the very bottom of the tuner peg and/or (2) to use a fret wrap just behind the nut
  16. FWIW, I have always contacted Will by WhatsApp (using their published mobile number) and over the course of several transactions he has always been very quick to respond and very friendly with it
  17. Which also originated from - and now resides again with - @Clarky 😆 The circle of BassChat life init
  18. love it! Were my old voodoo swamp blues band Rattlin Bone still actively gigging, I would be PM'ing you!
  19. This is what I use: removable glow-in-dark fretboard dot stickers https://glowtec.co.uk/fret-finders/
