  1. Ladislav bought my Fullerton 62RI P. He paid promptly, arranged the shipping to Czech Republic and was friendly and courteous throughout in his communications. Highly recommended!
  2. Might be worth adding pic of side of fretboard because I believe some fretless 4003s have side dots "on the fret", while in some years the dots were in the between-fret position
  3. From their website: "we also offer a commissioned sale alternative, we charge 20% on the final sale price"
  4. Something for you to drool over @Beedster? Wonderful looking bass, GLWYS
  5. Thats lovely Nick. Dan aka @Dood did a fabulous video review of this model and I was sorely tempted Ps, sure you know this, but the original US version of the bass (NS Shorty) was made for Gary Tallent of the E Street Band.
  6. Update: Well the doctors say it will be up to a year before my left hand forefinger works properly, even with physiotherapy due to fractures and severe ligament damage. Life is too short to wait that long before I can play a P bass dimension neck so I am open to selling this lovely bass. Incidentally I swapped the strings this week to a brand new set of Fender 9050L flats as the Dunlop flats were old and had a few kinks in them. See attached pics taken just now. Cheers Clarky
  7. Lovely bass. Might be worth adding the weight, especially if its a light one. Either way, quite the looker and GLWYT!
  8. @FinnDave this might fit the bill for your shortie tryout and three is a tremendous BCer to deal with?
  9. Spot on Lozz. See here (some cracking music, with the late great John McGeoch on guitar)
  10. I know you had so much hassle with the Kolstein but I still think its cool AF and is the cherry on top of your modest collection!!!
  11. Thats a lovely rig, all set up and ready to go for someone. GLWYS
  12. Having had a helpful message about hand injuries from another BCer and also being told by my wife not to be rash, I am withdrawing this bass for now. Let's see how my hand progresses
  13. Just thinking laterally, maybe get a small pedal board, velcro on the Sansamp and an Ashdown Ant (or some type of small power amp eg mini Sumo). You can just bring the pedal board and bypass the power amp if no rig is required, or plug the lot into your BF cab if you need a backline? https://www.andertons.co.uk/bass-dept/bass-guitar-pedals/bass-overdrive-pedals/ashdown-the-ant-pedalboard-bass-amp
  14. Apols to OP for thread derail. Bring on the bass faces!
  15. This incidentally is what I am struggling with (2 fractures and damaged ligament, which stubbornly resist to heal):
  16. A recent horse riding accident has left me with significant discomfort playing anything other than skinny necked and/or short scale basses. Hence this hard-to-find Fullerton 62P RI is up for sale. Lightweight (8lb 7oz) and plays nicely (well it would if my bust-up hand didn't hurt) with Dunlop 45-105 flats (my pics show it with TI flats which I can swap to if required). Best description and specs (plus loads of photos) are on the link to the FS ad from Andy Baxter, from whom I bought it (and for rather more than my asking price here ....) As I bought it only weeks befire my accident in March, it hasn't left the house. https://www.andybaxterbass.com/products/1983-fender-precision-bass-fullerton-vintage-58 £2,500 ovno collected (SW13 London area) or will add courier delivery at cost.
  17. Its a Serek Midwestern (hand made by Jake Serek and his team in Chicago, as played by Tim Lefebvre, Brandon Boone of Tedeschi Trucks etc). Serek designs are based on retro basses like yhe Newport and Gibson Ripper. These are mine:
  18. For me, it's a mix of equal parts concentration (aka, WTF am I doing?) and unintended Jimmy Page pouting
  19. Spotted this on Instagram. Step aside, MDP, I think we have a new master
  20. Respectfully disagree with earlier posters. My fave Bond film is You Only Live Twice. Love the swirling Barry soundtrack and title song. As a fanboi (and being unable to afford an Aston Martin!) I have a sort-of Bond tribute car, a 1966 MGB GT re-painted in silver with red leatherette interior, phwoarrr
  21. Bloody hell. I bought a bass from him only last year (moved it on as neck didn't work for me). Great musician RIP
  22. https://www.notreble.com/buzz/2023/05/09/in-memoriam-rick-jones/ Sad news. After closure last year of Euphonic Audio, not sure where Rick Jones' passing will leave the upright bass amp world.
