1. I just sold an Aguilar amp to Andy. Good honest communications and a friendly chap. Thanks Andy and hope you love the amp!
2. Lots on his basses, his music travels, musicians he admires etc http://www.percyjones.net/interview.htm
3. Its the case that really reeks - I had one old Fender where the hard case honked so much it had to be sprayed in Febreze and left in the open air to even become approachable. Before that it was like sniffing a sweat-drenched ashtray
4. And another bump! This is serously useful as a feedback fighter for DB as well as a PA speaker
5. Buyer contacted me to say he had decided to upgrade his existing EA cab rather than buy another cab, so this is back up FS again Must be collected from Hammersmith area
6. If it helps, the Wal database shows that the basses completed two and four before yours (W2172 and W2174) were made in 1983 and 1984 http://www4.informat...al/walspec.html Good luck with the [s]nipple[/s] sale
7. Of course I could be persuaded to part with Moondance, Bilbo?
8. Hi Chris, already been paid and will be posting the parcel tomorrow. Sorry!
9. Pics always help a sale, especially given that you are a newbie with no feedback. Location also helps too. Hope that doesn't sound rude - we were all newbies at one point and my comment is meant to be constructive! These are great cabs and I'm sure someone will snap your hand off once he/she's seen pics
10. I think philw either owns one or used to own one
11. I just bought a fretless Wal off Claas. He shipped from Germany and gave huge confidence by supplying a very detailed set of photos of the bass and of the entire packing process. The bass itself is wonderful and better than described (Claas over-played the small dings as he is ultra-honest) Thoroughly recommended BC'er
12. Clarky

SOLD

I recall it being B width, loz
13.
I'm missing something here. What's the issue with asking what the singers like?? Seems like a regular type enquiry!
The friend IS the singer
14. Thanks John and deepbass! I have a PM from a possible buyer so this may be on its way
15. Clarky

SOLD

btw, the tort guard was made for me by Howard the Bass Doc as I preferred the look to a black guard. But the latter was in superb shape
16. Clarky

SOLD

I previously owned this (as did Happy Jack) and can confirm that it's a quite lovely bass that appeared to have been kept in it's case for most of it's life as the sunburst was so vivid still. Very nice and recommended
17. Simples. Its the telescope you have trained on his house
18. Canteloupe Island and Maiden Voyage, both Blue Note
19. Did you sort a piezo for the Parker Fly, WH?
20. Actually its the highlights of the Plugged Nickel - but the Blanton-Webster album will cost you best part of £25 if you can track one down (I found it in a jazz specialist retailer near Covent Garden) http://www.amazon.co.uk/Blanton-Webster-Band-Duke-Ellington/dp/B000003EO4
21. To get you in the mood http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MsQYzpOHpik
22. Looks really good Jack and the front/home page is very tidy now Good effort chaps
23. Clearing out the house and downsizing my mountain of CDs. Here's a collection of jazz CDs I haven't played in a decade which would have cost well over £500 to put together. Too many to list individually but there's a huge variety here including - Duke Ellington (including the revered Blanton-Webster band double CD) - Miles Davis (including the famous Live at Plugged Nickel) - Charlie Parker - Sonny Rollins (including Saxophone Collossus) - Dave Brubeck - Oscar Pettiford - Stan Getz - Paul Chambers - Django Reinhardt - Bireli Lagrene - Christian McBride - Marcus Miller - Jaco Pastorius - Herbie Hancock Everything from swing to bebop to gypsy to modern. I am only holding on to my CDs of Bill Evans, plus certain CDs from Miles Davis, Charlie Parker and John Coltrane. And of course Van Morrison's Moondance How about £75 plus post (which might be about a tenner given the weight)? PS, bear in mind they haven't been played in years, they are a bit on the dusty side
