  2. Welcome aboard. I would be inclined to look out for a second hand Musicman Stingray or a Sterling if you prefer a slimmer jazz profile neck. These are really nice and well put together basses that are more versatile than people think.

  4. It would be my '62 Precision. Owned her for 36 years and just fits me like a glove

  6. Maybe I should look out for another Celiner but 'lighter'....
  7. I traded my J Update with Molan. It was a very good bass and I bought it over a couple of Sadowsky Metro's and a Mike Lull that was in the Gallery at the same time. However, I found it a little heavy and a little 'clinical' for me. Some people will love this in a bass but just not what I was looking for in a J bass so my search continues.

    Hi

    Welcome aboard
  20. I have always thought Macca as a clever bass player who's playing compliments the songs (whether he wrote them or not - I love his playing on George Harrison's Something). The fact that he wrote so many classic songs that have lasted the test of time, has a good commercial voice and plays guitar and piano more than competently - and was part of one of/if not the most revered band of all time pretty, much puts him at the pinacle of popular music up with an elite few. For me it is hard to think of Macca solely as a bass player
  21. How much does it weigh?
