It has never been pushed above 60% and so sounds as good now as when I bought it. No knock chips or dings to the casing. Wheels are A1. Drivers are A1. No fluid spills. Amazing sounding amp at 400 watts output. Only wear and tear is; paint flaking on top handle metal clamps which is unnoticeable and one silver knob facing has been lost. As a Music Trust teacher, my students have enjoyed using the amp under strictly controlled conditions, never as a loan. In action, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uVB6nHobodg and here on D.I. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rp4pC9maRV0 The amp has great stage projection. 2. Hi to all. Down sizing a bit here & selling my old faithfull. Roland D-Bass 210. This has been my main work horse & it is as good as it was when bought new. Never pushed too hard. Never needed to. On EBay ATM for BIN of £450 These buggers where £900 plus new & they dont make them anymore. Probably the best sounding combo ever and at 24kg, no ball buster to lug about considering the 400watt output. Even has wheels on it for surfing dancefloors. I love doing that I am rationalising due to son at Uni & the big 21 BDay coming soon. If you are interested, stick an offer in on http://www.ebay.co.u...984.m1555.l2648 I am pro as an FT teacher and sesh muso. This amp has been loved & cared for from new. Who so ever gets this baby will be triple v pleased I assure you. Best of luck bass freaks. Kind regards, Dick.

5. Okey dokey. I am going to take the plunge soon. New thread or add onto this monster?
6. BTW The 4X10 bass cabs from Thomann to go with the 500 head seem to be crazy low money at £140 a pop. I was thinking of buying two of these so that all bases (poo pun) are covered. To my uneducated thinking, that gives me 1k driver headroom to 500 watts output at 4 ohms. Lots of air movement too! Are these cabs OK? This might be another thread right here so soz if it is. Just linking to the Harley Benton part of the topic.
7. Hi to all Many thanks for the really good reviews here. Helped me make up my mind to sell the Micromark (best sounding portable bass amp I have ever had) & buy the HB combo 500. As I teach, record & gig but still never have any money this amp seems like a winner to me but I would not have gone for it without the reviews on this thread. Nice one fellow bass freaks.
