3.
god £750! thats about £2-300 over priced!? still...what a bass.....I want a red one! anyway did I tell you that billy got back to me re the Attitude mk3? he says its the best yet and he is soooo pleased as to the standard Yamaha have attained on this model...he also said watch out for the reviews at the end of November!!! cant wait.........oh!
sweeeeet! i'd better start saving up!!!! yoinks! peace c
4. yeah, i've got one of these - sending the effect out to a seperate guitar amps works really well for filling in spaces behind solos etc, can really sound like a rhythm guitar playing alongside your bass - ideal for a 3 piece band. i'm hanging on to mine though! peace c
5.
At the risk of appearing completely ignorant, who's Mark King?
6. yay! rockschool used to rule back in the day! not sure what he's up to these days - that guitarist woman Deidre Cartwright (?) was on the radio a few months ago - shes got some jazz albums out as a solo artist - i'm guessing shes not still wearing the jumpsuits!!! peace c
7. ew! the pickguards on those JP90s are hideous i reckon - that five string originally posted looks well nice though. peace c
8. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Yamaha-Attitude-Limi...1QQcmdZViewItem another beaut - bit of a high start price though? peace c
9. i've always liked the idea of getting a '69 bass that would be the same age as me - think it'd be pretty cool - as is that Jazz! peace c
10. hmmm - just replied to this but doesn't seem to be showing up....... so here it be again: andy67 - i likee the VM jazzes but not really something i'm after at the mo thanks gangadin - PM'd peace c
11. ok, i'm 99% sure i'm gonna sell this as it really doesn't get used these days. Ampeg SVP-BSP Billy Sheehan preamp - two channels (one with overdrive) which can be used seperately or combined, excellent condition, signed on top by Billy, complete with manual and orginal box (if i can find it!) - no footswitch. Looking for around £350 - collection prefered (Lowestoft) but will post if necessary for additional cost. paypal, cheque or cash on collection is fine. Would also be interested in swapsies for a rack mount head of some kind (maybe GK 1001RB?) and possibly any other items of bassy goodness! peace c
12. hee hee - pretty cool! - i used to have a 2x10 which sat on top of a 1x15 and i often thought about painting that because the speakers kinda looked like a big gas mask! .......or maybe i'd just been smoking too much... my guitarist sprayed his boogie cab grill in a camo pattern and straight away didn't like it so sprayed it over black - he didn't even take it off his cab to spray it though so i dread to think what his speakers look like now!!! peace c
13. nuno rules! i was never really into extreme becasue that singer annoyed the hell out of me, but as a guitarist nuno is definitely up there, especially listening to some of his solo bits n bobs more recently. peace c
14. on first quick glance that all seems quite intriguing if a little odd! i like conspiracy theories me! peace c
15. yeah i think its good - teenagers into bands like Fall Out Boy are no way gonna be able to afford a 'proper' fender sig model. squier also do some quite nice guitars in a similar vein - Avril Lavigne Signature Telecaster bloke from Sum 41 sig tele quite good i reckon peace c
16. get some pics up! - and whats your verdict? peace c
17. Its a slightly inferior model to the Attitude LTD as it hasn't got the scallops, d-tuner and dimarzios but its by no means an inferior bass. £300 is a very good price - i would buy it straight away! c
18. bah! don't buy it! they're RUBBISH!!!!! not really - but I want it!! got my eye on one on a US website but not sure about all the importing etc. anyways - I've got 2 attitudes - a LTD 1 and a Special and they're both very nice. The LTD 1 has a very wide neck which some people might struggle with. All the others in the range aren't so bad though. From the Attitude manual the Custom is as follows: Neck: Maple Fingerboard: Maple Body: Alder Scale length: 33 and 7 eighths (860mm) Nut Width: 43mm Fingerboard radius: 10" (r250mm) Nut: Bone Frets: Dunlop #6100 Bridge: BPZ-4 Pickups not Dimarzio. you're right - no scalloped frets and not sure if it has the D-tuner either... and theres a switch on the back of the body for independent/mix output for the pickups. seriously, if you don't get it let me know as i will! peace c
19.
had that moment 5/6 years ago! now only play passive 4 string basses!
SNAP! c
20. i used to have one of these back in the day - not the blood covered one mind you, but the similarly subtle black one with a red lightning bolt going across it! pretty good basses really - bought mine new back in the early 80's so mine actually came with a matching hard case. in fact...heres a vintage photo of it in action!!! haha peace c
21. my Ibanez SB900 i've just sold had the skinniest, slimmest neck of any bass i've ever played! lots smaller than a Jazz even - though they are hard to find basses. peace c
22. heres one from me that i rediscovered the other day - this song always cheers me up and theres the odd quirky little bass bit in there too! Warren Zevon - Werewolves of London peace c
