  1. Have you checked the inputs on the DAW correspond to the imputs you’re using? It might be easier to record the backing track first and simply play along to it, rather than trying to record both simultaneously.
  2. Bought new in October but never used. It still has the front/back plastic protection stuck on it. Complete with box and original packaging.
  3. My pedal collection has long since outgrown this, the smallest of the Pedaltrain range. It’s in good condition with Velcro attached. I don’t think I ever used the soft case that came with it.
  4. Send her a link to this thread. Job done.
  5. I have a thing about reverb and delay pedals. I currently have five that I use regularly. I have another two on the way, so I'm letting this one go. It's the least used of my collection and doesn't if I'm honest do anything that other pedals don't. It was bought very recently and hasn't left the house. As such, it's in pristine condition. The price includes postage.
  6. Some more photos.
  7. A post like this has popped up on New Year's Day for as long as I've been a member of the forum. If you don't like something then don't watch it. I saw about thirty minutes of it. I didn't like the music but as a musician, I enjoyed watching the performances.
  8. Just groove over F Ab and Bb.
  9. It surely shouldn't make any difference where it's made. They should still be built to the same standard.
  10. Barely used. I prefer its bigger brother. The price includes postage.
  11. I already have quite a large collection of reverb pedals, and having just today ordered another, this can go to a new home. I bought it new in October, it's in new condition and comes with the original box etc. The price includes postage.
  12. It's good that she gets to choose her audition pieces. The day of my audition is now just a blurry memory, but I remember being the most nervous that I've ever been. We could choose one of our own which could be an original piece. It had to showcase our technical proficiency - or otherwise. The other piece was given to us on the day. We were given a transcription and had - I think - 30 minutes to prepare it. Good luck to her anyway. I know a couple of people who studied music at Bath Spa. One is a guy I work with. They all have good things to say about it. She'll have a wonderful time. I miss my undergrad days. I'm often walking about at work, hearing the students practising in the rehearsal rooms, and wishing I could walk in and join them.
  13. In mint condition with box etc. I bought myself a turntable in September. This is part of my current setup for it. So far I've only been listening to it through headphones. I want to get a decent pair of monitors for it though, so I'm purchasing an integrated amplifier. The price includes postage.

I want to get a decent pair of monitors for it though. As nice as this is, it won't provide enough output to power a pair of monitors. The price includes postage.

  15. I teach on a BA Popular Music course. I don't teach on the performance modules but I did audition a couple of the bass students last year. One did Dream Theater’s 6 o'clock which I was very impressed by. Another student did Run for Hills by Iron Maiden.
  16. Why not? I know lots of people who play more than one instrument. How good a musician is she? I know several bass players who have just a meagre knowledge of music and rely on TAB for the lines they play. On the other hand, all the keyboard players I know have a good knowledge of music. If she learns the parts then I don't see the problem.
  17. The words ‘what an absolute mess’ spring to mind.
  18. Is that on the same side of the road but back toward the centre? There is a pub there that has bands.
  19. There are a few empty shops in the Custard Factory. I go there most days for coffee.
  20. No, that's over the other side of the city centre. There's loads of work going on around Digbeth, it's for the tramway though.
  21. The Irish Centre in Digbeth, Birmingham. I went to a few gigs there in the 1990s with my brother. It is, or was, just a few hundred metres from the college I teach at. Now, sadly reduced to a pile of rubble. Probably to make way for more of the flats and apartments you can see behind it.
  22. I believe that's the case, yes. I bought it to create synth-like sounds. I've since bought some Old Blood Noise pedals that get me the perfect analogue-type synth sound.
  23. I have a thing about headphones. I currently own eight pairs but only use two. These were recommended to me by one of the music production lecturers at the music college I teach at. They've probably had a maximum of two hours usage. They're extremely well-made and produce incredibly detailed sound. They're ideal for mixing and producing music. Complete with the original box, cable and unopened soft carry bag. The price includes postage.
  24. From my experience with Fender basses, it would be quite easy to spot the difference between the fake and the real thing. The fake is almost certainly going to be better made.
  25. I believe it's modelled on one of Janek Gwizdala’s Boss Octave pedals. It's in excellent condition and sounds good. Complete with box. The price includes postage.
