1. You don't need a joiner to angle the pedal board, just a cople of rubber feet/stoppers screwed to the top edge (underneath of course).
2. Shep, do you make use of the CV outs on the moogers? I have a patch lead that I made up (TRS without the R connected) & I take it out the Env out on the 101 & either back into one of the 101s ins or to either the Rate or LFO on the 105b. I'm sure you could get some awesome textures that change with the note as it decays with what you have (as if you didn't already!).
3.
Sadly not, would be a good one for Boss to consider though! I've got one on my iPhone by Steinway and I just put it on mute, acts as a counter with a stream on it. It was free as well.
I use one called metrocolor on my iPhone that was free & has a couple of good visual options.

Cheers guys. Both legs was the same length, but one side of the LED does have a flat bit on it & appears to be to ground. I'm gonna try tapping a couple of wires on either side of the LED & check if it works. I'll test the audio side of things too & report back.
5.
http://www.flightcas...sp?groupID=4748 I've got the medium size, pic below for scale, you may need the large looking at what you're going to put on there. It's basically a flightcase with a board of wood in to put your pedals onto. Put some brackets under the board (there is plenty of room) and you can keep wires tidy underneath, plus it's a flightcase so you're not going to destroy your pedals in transit and what not... I'm re-doing mine at the minute and things like power supply, wireless and thumpinator are going to go under the board, that's the kind of space you get. Definitely worth a look! Another option, if you don't mind a bit of DIY, is to go on ebay, find a flightcase around about the size you're after (make sure you get enough depth!!) and then use a board of wood for your pedalboard. stick rubber feet on the flightcase and you've essentially got the same for less dosh.
That's where I got mine from & I just modified the board that was in the flightcase to sit at an angle, put handles on it & attached clips for the cables under it. Holds 2 Moogs, 3 boss sized pedals, an exp pedal & about to add a looper pedal to that too.

I didn't know LEDs required the polarity to be the right way round (I thought they'd just be like a tungsten)? I did try reversing the polarity on the PSU though & still nothing. I'll have a mess about when I get home (@3:30)

Well I started my pedal project last night. Spent ages determining where it's going on the board & laying it out & now have my 1st problem. I haven't tried the loop yet & the mixer section isn't wired as yet, but I plugged the power in (all it does is power an LED), but the LED didn't work. & how do you know what pin 1 is on a 3PDT, or is pin 1 & pin 9 the same? Here's the schematic for the looper section... 8. Can that tuner be used as a metronome? I've been looking for a large metronome light (no sound).

I've just got the parts for my first ever pedal project. Nothing complex, a looper & 2 channel mixer in one. I got schematics for a simple passive mixer so I can take the L & R out of the Bass Murf & put the L channel through a few FX & have the R channel just a clean 110Hz shelf & I got the schematics for a simple looper with an LED. The looper is so I don't have to tapdance so much as I often go from a clean tone to octave, dirt & filter I'm putting the whole lot in the one box so it takes up less room. Pics when I've made it/come up with problems & need help.

REMOVE

You can remove the head from all the combos, but you need to get a top plate for the head. The heads used in the combo s are LM II/IIIs. Top plate can easily be made with a thin sheet of metal cut to size & 4 holes drilled in it (where the bolts go through, of course).
11. OK, got a start time for the gig as well as further details.... First band is on at 8 pm & there is 3 other bands/acts doing acoustic sets. So it should be a really good night. Click here for the Facebook page for the evening.
12. I'll 2nd the Markbass combo. Got the 2x10 & I think it even might be overkill for your situation. Would be at the top of your budget though 2nd hand. Get yourself to a shoppe & try some stuff out.
13. I tried putting the dirt after the filter & in a band situation I found it way to subtle to be noticed. But just because it doesn't suit me, doesn't mean it wont suit you. Experimentation is 1/2 the fun of building a board.
14. Stick the cab on the head then
15. Ahh! Just noticed you're in Aberdeenshire! Dundee might be your nearest?
16. If weight is your concern, then a Markbass amp is the way to go. LMII/III can go in a carry pouch on a gig bag, making your bass amp & cab all manageable for 1 carry on your own (leaving your drummer free to carry the pedalboard). Go to your nearest decent bass gear stockist & try some amps out.
17. I can vouch for the Markbass 2x10 combo if it lightness & simplicity that you're after. However, what I'd consider is a Barefaced cab & either keep your head or trade it for something lighter.
18. I'd go TU2 > OC3 > ODB1 > SYB3 > CEB3 > CryBaby > Flanger as a starting point & then play about & see what makes the sounds "You" want.
19. I started on key type thingys too! When I was 4 (well 2 weeks away from being 5, as it was Xmas), I got one of those mouth keyboard things & played it constantly. My folks got me a Bontempi organ the following year & over the early years I had a few different keyboards & started getting into synths. When I was 12, I went to a local music shop to buy a monosynth (Jem SX1000) & my brother bought an acoustic guitar (just a cheapo no name, but this was my step into stringy thingies). After a couple of months he decided the guitar wasn't for him & gave it to me. I found I mainly played basslines on it, though I did learn to play chords fairly quickly on it. After a couple of years (aged 14) I decided to buy myself a bass to see if I liked it. I got a Vox Standard (which I still have, though it's in bits), that was 1985! After much playing of synths I kept going back to the bass, so in 1990 I bought my Ibanez SR1000 & also got an Ibanez Artist guitar from a friend. & that's me. I now have no synths (for the past 15 or so years) & after much chopping & changing, I still have the same bass, but the guitar is now a Freshman CE300 Electro Acoustic.
20. Same here. Looks cool as.
21.
tc electronic bg500 2x10 blows any combo on the market away my mate has an eden combo great but not as deep and loud as a bg500 tried a markbass 2x10 combo and it couldnt touch the tc there is a 2x10 and a 15 model check ebay out theres one for sale on here for 350 its a tc bg500
I hear a lot of good things about TCE (except the "what's a watt" issue). I'm gonna have to try some of their stuff at some point!
22. Yeah, all three for me too. Although there's only a couple of songs they get to sing along to (all originals usually) & not much dancing to be had, but our audience is more of listeners than party goers. Although a couple of the folky dubstep numbers get folk up dancing! Got a gig in Dundee on the 21st if anyone's interested?
23. It depends on your budget & if you wanna go 2nd hand. 4 years ago I tried countless combos & amp/cabs & the best sub £1k rig I found for my needs was the Markbass 2x10 combo. You can get them s/h for @ £600. Very loud combo for a 2x10.
24. I was looking at them when the 1st batch came out, but the QC issues them was pretty bad. Marshall are known for making guitar rigs, but not so much for bass (not that they've not tried, just that the bassist has a lot of good options). From the reports on here over the past few years from the chaps above & a few others on here, they have a good sound for the money but you'll need a flatbed with a hiab for transporting the thing!
25. Have a look at the Ibanez Soundgear range. My dusty end is shiny & I actually use the 24th fret on the G in a couple of songs with no trouble getting all the way up there. But again, there might be something that will suit your style better, so get a good play about.
