1. One of my teammates at work (Goitarist with quite a collection & can play them too) is putting together a band & is looking for a Bassist to join him, so I said I'd ask on here if there's anyone wanting to join him? He works here in Perth but lives in Aylith (in Angus) but can travel. Anyone interested, let me know & I'll pass your details to him. G
2. I don't know why they didn't make teh cymbals yellow. Would look better than black ones.
3.
New track from Nerve - Damn its good! https://www.facebook...pp_178091127385
Just had a listen. Now if I can get my drummer to quit his job up north so we can practice & talk the guitarist into playing more synth guitar......
4. I'm another who will happily start writing on whatever instrument I have to hand, but the majority starts with a bassline or a melody in my head. My basslines often follow the melody (if they aren't the melody). If it's the singer who's written all his parts & wants me to lay a bassline down, it's totally different from the stuff that I write (not intentionally). I leave him to add lyrics to most of the songs we write.
5.
you would get on with our very own Mark Daniels (AKA 7string) if you make it along
And Dood. Unless he's moved onto the 9 strings! I'll see about sorting out something in Perth for a weekend in June/July/whenever suits.
6. Welcome to BC. I'd be up for popping down for a bash (if you'll have me, that is).

8.
Thats really cool. If anything like that is done again, i'd totally be up for joining in!
i'll give you a shout when the next one is starting. Not sure when it is yet though.
9. Hehe, I might make it my avatar. I'll need to get a good listen tomorrow as the Mrs has commandeered the mac
10. I'm on it a lot more than I expected to be! I'm looking forward to hearing it at home (finish work at 10 tonight).
11. And this thread is back from the dead! It's for Dubstep & effects so here's a video that I partook in... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bTmAnGzNQxE
12. Over on a Facebook forum called Organic Bass Wobble, 9 bassists collaborated to make a bit of Dubstep. A short beat was provided & given a key & asked to submit a bit of bass & after some fine work by Code: Marla, here is the finished mix. Enjoy. 13. I often play my electro -acoustic through my Markbass combo & it sounds excellent (Markbass do also make acousic guitar rigs). I plugged a Yamaha strat thing into it & it sounded pants. But my mate plugged a Fender strat into a Vox AC-30 & it sounded pants too.
14. Bump for those whose up this way. There's 4 other acts on with us (not all at the same time of course).
15. What a disappointment The headline on the front said "I've just bought a Trac" & I was expecting it to end with "tor". Nice find. looks like you've grabbed a bargain!

I do indeed. Fitted perfect with my acoustic band tonight. Retains loads of low end & can add all sorts off effects to the 2nd channel. Here's some better pics... #3019
17. New homebuilt router on board & new layout. Sounds pretty awesome. Shep would have a field day with my wiring (either that, or a heart attack!).

All built & working. Pics to prove it! Signal goes Bass into Black Router, send to OC-3 > Bass Murf. Left out from Murf (Notched at 160, 350 & 775 Hz only) into SDS-2 & into the return on BR. BR out goes to the CE-2 > MF-101 & then into C1 on mix section on BR. Right out from Bass Murf goes straight to C2 on BR mix (only frequencies below 110 Hz & a 240 Hz notch goes to this channel) & then both channels mixed together. When engaged the CE-2 & LPF only affect the looped signal (so all sub is clean). When not engaged, it's a clean sound straight into the CE-2 & LPF. Proper band test tonight! Sound clips to follow!

Just a shout to the company I got the parts from. http://www.rshelectronics.co.uk/ Excellent service, great communication (I asked questions about parts on a Saturday afternoon & they emailed me back the same day & also on the Sunday) & good prices. What impressed me was that I placed the order on the Sunday & got the parts on Tuesday. The way it should be. I'd recommend these guys any time.

DANCER! Pedal works! Thanks guys. I need to do a proper test tomorrow to make sure, but all seems fine at low volume. No shielding needed (probably just jinxed it though!). Will get pics tomorrow too.
Sorry for the late reply. Where have you got your grounds tied to? Also, have you shielded the ABS box? Start there and then worry about what you've got going into each input!
Thanks TG, should I tap all my grounds to the top of a pot? The box isn't shielded, I could spray glue into the box (emptied) & stick tinfoil into it.

[s]Fixed it! Pics coming soon.[/s] Nope, I haven't! Buzzes like a big fridge. Any ideas anyone? It's fine 1 channel at a time, but the minute I put 2 ins. BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!! I'll have a mess about after work tomorrow.

Hey guys, asking for help again. The looper side I have working ok. The mixer side, not yet. I need to know where to stick the ground? It's an ABS case (plastic to you & me), so I thought the output ground would go on the tops of the pots. Nope! No signal. Here's the schematic (well, picture), could someone please help? I'm making it just 2 channel
24. Just a thought, a on/off switch in the middle of the patch lead would be a useful thing. Or you could patch to a looper.
25.
TRS without the R connected? Isn't that just a TS? As in, regular mono? Thats all I use for patching between them. I've played around with loads of combinations of stuff. Some sound great, but I've never found a way to use them live with the exception of the Ring Mod to Phaser patching which is explained on the post with my signal chain (a page or two back on this thread). I've actually have little success using the 101's envelope for anything in a live situation.
It could be used as a mono cable but if you used it for stereo, only one channel would come through. I used stereo jacks as the mono jack would have shorted the R & S together & I didn't know if that would still work (aparantly it still does). Have you tried using the ENV Out on something that regulates speed, like the 108s speed?
