  1. Any chance of splitting? Looking at the head as I have a hydrive 4x10
  2. I have just done a deal with Will for his 410 hydrive cab. Great communications, great price and a top bloke. He keeps his gear in great condition. The hydrive is brilliant. Would recommend dealing with will without hesitation,
  3. Sorry mate getting my a1 and m1 junctions mixed up! I will PM you and we can get it sorted.
  4. Sorry guys. I meant to add it is a covers band to be working pubs, clubs and functions.
  5. My friend is starting a band up again. They have a drummer, vox and lead guitar on board. They tend to do rock and indie/rock. If anyone is interested let me know and I will pass details on.
  6. That looks the business! Good luck with the sale!
  7. Yeah I think that's what we are going to need to do!
  8. Interesting stuff, we are also going through them at a fair rate. Bit woried one day a punter will get a 15 inch speaker through their skull. Especially as however big the dancefloor they always seem to be drawn to standing right next to the speakers and tripping on the legs of the stands.
  9. Sent you a PM vmax. Regards R H P
  10. Where are you based? (Sorry on I phone)?
  11. Be careful dude. Don't drop anything until you know the funk band is strong enough to take things forward I.e if you can't get a decent singer etc and you are left with just drums and bass. You will soon regret sacking a tight band that regularly gigs and has an established name to get more gigs easily. Starting from scratch is difficult and things can burn out before really getting going. I would try and run both and then drop out of rock band if the funk is working.
  12. Macho Man by the Village People! Takes some playing as well!
  13. PM me your bank details dude, I will take the tug bar. Thanks, Rusty
  14. What the hell is 'pay to play'? I have heard of record companies paying a headlining band on a tour to take their band/artist as a support but surely local bands are not paying a venue for a slot!?!?!? I saw a promoter write a FB post the other day saying musicians should be happy that they even get to play to an audience (for free). I wonder if he does his promoting out of the goodness of his heart........
  15. Don't expect him to learn some of the killers stuff too quickly, Mr Brightside intro riff etc is seriously tricky. He is a very underestimated guitarist. I agree that bass to rhythm is fairly smooth but some tricky picking across all 6 strings with changing unusual chord is difficult. Fortunately the stuff you want to do doesn't have face melting solos in it. Good luck with it.
  16. I have had the pleasure of playing this bass. Perfect condition and plays great! Anth is a top bloke to trade with.
  17. I have always been happy to lend my own and use others if it makes things smoother all round. I had a terrible experience in a support slot once where I had my own rig ready but the headline act's bass player insisted I went through his brand spanking ampeg rig so he could hear it in the mix out front. Unfortunately it died after 30 seconds. Felt really terrible, although it was just one of those things. The guy was really cool (if it wasn't under warranty I think he would have died). He ended up using my knackered peavy combo! That said that is the first time I have ever seen any such problems in 10 years. My major beef is our drummer not leaving the room where his drum kit is from set up to finish - even at weddings. He is like Gollum with his 'precious' anyone touch it and its hammer time!
  18. Just traded a Jazz for his P Bass. Good deal all round. Bass came well packaged and on time with great communication throughout. Buy/trade/sell with 100% confidence. Russ
