1. And I suppose not all bands are to everyone's taste - I liked all those in the list regardless of musical content, but maybe that's not the idea?
2.
Are you talking about the link in your sig? If so it's not in the list so I hadn't liked it, but have just done so
Thanks man and thanks to all the other likers too
3. 56 likes given and 8 received - not a great ratio so far
4. Thanks for the link, this looks good.
5. That's very decent of you Hugh We'll probably never know who made the repair but hopefully a new driver will fix the problem.
6. Thanks chaps, it sounds like a new driver is in order.
7.
Hmmm, no like button for Head Sticks...
I found it here - https://www.facebook.com/headsticksmusic?pnref=story
8.
Just to make people aware....if you like these pages from your own band page, then it doesn't count towards a pages total likes....you need to like it from your own personal profile for that to happen. It may well have been mentioned already, but I thought that I'd reiterate as this thread is all about getting a few extra likes on pages :-)
Oh buqqer! Now I have to like you all all over again
9.
Note: You need to be on a personal page rather than a band page and to "Like" the page and for it to count.
I just liked them all and I feel good............ except I liked them from my band page - how come that doesn't count?
10. Great idea - I will 'like' all of the above and hope for a few in return My band - https://www.facebook.com/tacsimusic
11. The 2 previous owners deny making any repairs or hearing a problem with the cab. Could this driver have left the factory in this state?
12. Too late.......... he's dead Just kidding
13. Thanks Ian - I'll suggest he tries that
14. Hi fellow basschatters, I am looking for advice on behalf of a friend who has a Hartke 4 x 10 cab which has a farting type sound at certain frequencies and a general lack of power or good clean tone. Upon examining the drivers, he found one with what looks like a repair - see images below. Is this likely to be the source of the problem?
15. I just bought a bass from Mel and I am a very happy bunny. It is exactly as described and it arrived next day in bomb proof packaging. Thanks Mel for going the extra mile - you really are a star
16. Cheers Oggy, here's yet another version
17. I would be interested to know how it sounds playing reggae style, with the treble and mids cut on the amp, solo neck pick up and tone rolled off on a Jazz bass. I am considering these cabs with an LM11 for my reggae band
18. It's good that they've introduced an alternative colour and I hope they continue with more options. I sold my CV Jazz because I didn't like the bright white finish and I wasn't keen on the plasticky finish. I also couldn't get on with the electrics - the knobs were too loose, making adjustments while playing too hit and miss. The pick ups were ok, but not great and I couldn't seem to get a deep vintage tone from the neck pick up. But the neck was brilliant, with great fret work and a joy to play.
19. Bass was DI from markbass LM11, little bit of compression in Cubase and that's it. Jazz bass, neck pick up, GHS precision flats.
20. Thanks Tim, it was recorded in my front room with cheap gear into a laptop running Cubase. The backing track was recorded live and the horns were overdubbed. We've recorded 4 albums this way, with another on the way. You can stream them here - http://www.mixcloud.com/tacsiband/ This is the original song - http://youtu.be/brrWGFuVnGY
21.
You might try Pyramid Gold flats.
These are close in tone to TIs, with a bit more tension. No other flats sound close IME.
22. Live dub mix of one of my band's songs -
23. Bob on - thanks for the link
24.
Well it is a compromise but you get the 'best' bits ergonomically and a decent flavour of each sonically
Not for me
25.
Am I the only one here who finds a PJ combination unsatisfactory?
Agreed - I only use the neck pick up on my Jazz, but I prefer a Precision body. Nobody makes a Jazz with a Precision body, other than G&L AFAIK and I didn't like the JB-2 when I had one.
