1. So recently got talking to Chowny at a local bass bash and they were cool enough to send me a pedal to demo! this thing is killer, had both my amps set up so figured id do a little playing into both! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wh9v1hLGnjU its designed in conjunction with Uk boutique pedal builders and is super simple and like i said sounds great!
 2.
You need to try them both really. The Cali is not a very transparent compressor, certainly adds something to your tone. The Super Symmetry does not do this, but it does roll of highs slightly. For me, cheap compressors are no good. Certainly these two are some of the best in the market, I preferred the Super Symmetry as I liked my tone as it was, but both are excellent.
What kev said! you need to try them both really, i have the cali and love it, adds a bit of warmth and is super easy to use, i like what it adds so felt i was missing something when i tried the DG its great just for me the Cali won out. i actually used to have a germanium version of the larger cali unit and downsized to this as honestly to me it sounded better. only other comp ive had come close that ive tried was an old boss cs-2.
 3. New pedal demo day yesterday so many cool sounds in these three! 4. It's a bit good the AO! Few hours jamming and this is my fave setting so far FYI I'm not boosting bass as the pedal is cutting it just for where I wanna sit in the band mix you can have 100% blend with no low end loss unless you want that.
 5.
Wicked cool, thanks for the reply!
no problem
 6. its here! cant wait to plug it in and get some sounds!
 7.
May have missed it but where did you order? I made mine at Andertons or whoever, and I got a text today saying its been shipped, will arrive tomorrow. Ordered last week I think ?
Got an email from Andertons saying early may, however like your self got a mail saying it will be coming tomoz well happy as I'm doing some demo filming on sat so can include the ao now :-)
 8.
Thanks. (I think ) Too bad it has already changed quiet a bit since this picture was made (the chain order and removed and added some pedals), still waiting for a Chowny Fuzzster to complete the latest version, once it's in I'll post an updated picture.
ive got the Fuzzster! very very nice fuzz!!
 9.
Mine has showed April dates since preorder but just keeps being pushed back, currently 28th April expected stock day. You ordered sometime after me so may be different batches, but either way I really hope it arrives in the next few days.
Mine first said that then got an email update to say it would be in early may
 10.
On my order history as the expected stock date. I know that But again, its frustrating that another smaller UK store has already had and sold out of their stock and my unit that has been preordered since March isn't even in the country yet. I know it may not be their fault (if they delayed paying for their order for some reason it will be), but I just get irked when preorders ship late. Defeats the point entirely! I wont do it again and thus wont moan again
It's says 2nd of may on the email I had not had another one to say a change so hoping after the bank hols
 11.
Expected date at Andertons pushed back again...
where have you heard this from? again they can only send it out once they have it.
 12.
Probably missing the obvious as I'm still gassing for a Boss-ES but can the two outputs be one with effects and the other without? Thinking of getting a gigrig three2one so I can plug my synth and bass into the same Boss-ES input but would like to have my synth output going into the effects loop (with all the effects) while my dry bass which does go through the ES can go into the front of the amp. Possible?
totally mate you dnt even need the 321 if your playing one at a time you can just use both inputs on the es8, i send all my effects to my ctm and send nothing to the abm so you can split that way. so you would just make preset for your synth and bass its an awesome thing the es!
 13.
two vertical stacks?
no bottom 4 and top 4
 14.
Interesting, how do you plug them both in? Been wanting to do a clean/dirty rig for a while now!
It's all split using my es8, output 1 goes to dirty ctm 100, the output 2 goes into a humdinger from gigrig so I have an isolated out with a phase switch and then out to the clean amp. Both run all the time each into a 410
 15.
Surely you need a 2nd 810 and just run them both all the time?
Nope I've split the 810 internally so the two inputs on the back each go to a 410.
 16.
Nice rig, how do you change between each head however?
I can switch via the es-8 if needed but to be honest both heads are live all the time!
 17. So recently got the ABM 500 so began thinking of ways to split the rig! ended up being alot easier than i thought! remembered i had a gigrig synco synco 5 way patch bay and also a gigrig humdinger which has a phase switch and an isolated out so combined those with the es8 and clean dirty setup is go! all my effects go into the ctm-100 and the abm is just clean, pushing the compression up on the amp and a bit of pre amp grind from the valve. both heads go into my 810 which ive split so now is two 8 ohm 410's with a custom lead ill get made up so i can use both cabs with one head.
 18. Finally got the dual rig going last night!
 19.
John Stockman Goliath playthrough with Alpha/Omega:
Super excited for this now! Took them long enough to get John to play it!
 20.
Shan't be using Andertons again! Pre-ordered weeks ago and they still don't have initial stock.
in fairness mate they cant help it if they are further back in the order than some ppl. just makes me more excited to get it! i can wait another week or two. Andy
 21.
Congrats, as a pretty recent convert to Ashdown I`m loving my ABM rig.
Can't wait till next week to plug them in together!
 22. think this alongside my Ctm-100 should sound pretty nice!
 23. lets bump this back to the top and also say im open to trades aswell!
 24. Got this two add as a second clean amp in my rig Can't wait to fire it up!
 25.
I can't really hear much of a difference there. I would think that any difference would be inaudible as soon as other instruments kicked in. Thanks for the vid!
totally agree, close mic'd like this you might hear something but in a live context i actually think the cog octaves, even the oc-3 dare i say sound not to far away. love the Oc2 Octave i have and its a keeper but for live use it would take something special to take the T70 of.
