4.
Dunc is a great guy to deal with. Good luck mate!
Thanks for that! Pics up. More on request.
5.
These sound interesting, any pics?
Will get them up ASAP.
6. May trade px one or both for Gibson/Yamaha LP/SG guitars. Tele etc. Consider quality copies. The P started crackling today. Had a look and a wire to the jack has come off. I cant find my soldering iron! Its only twisted on until I manage to find the iron but works perfectly. If you are willing to sort it yourself, it's yours for £345. Will get some more photos up as i've a bit more space now. First up 1986 MIJ Fender Precision in tobacco burst, black plate, maple board. It's not pristine. A few knocks but nothing too bad. It's a players bass so imagine its been gigged since 86 but in overall good condition. The bridge has been changed for a high mass and the knobs are rounded rather than flat. Lovely to play. Sounds just like a P should. £385 or £345 Second up Musicman Sub USA in black. SOLD Great condition for it's age. Has original plate and an after market that it's currently wearing. No other mods. Plays brilliantly and nearly become my 1st bass but love my JV P bass too much. £400 Third up DeArmond Starfire semi in red. Medium scale. 90's. Brilliant bass. Excellent condition. All original. Has Smith's rounds on at the moment but also have a used set (came with it and still very usable) of TI flats that will include. These are approx £60 a set on their own. £400 Padded gig bag inc with the P and Sub. Will add more details and photos ASAP. Any more info please ask. Prices doesnt include delivery but happy to send at cost at the buyers risk. Would prefer if you sent your own courier. Collection from BB22SH or possible meet/personal delivery depending on where in the country.
7. Mostly use Elites and used to change them every rehearsal just before a gig. We used to play quite often then. I dont play as much now and just don't change them as my reference in sound seems to have changed. If they were totally dead I'd restring. If I broke one I would change the set. In skinter days, I'd boil them in a pan of water. Seemed to work well at the time.
8. Just bought some SM57's from Ade. Everything went according to plan. Mics as described and got here very quickly. Great comms. No problems at all. Thanks Ade. Cheers Dunc
9. Just bought an SM58 from Carl. Great transaction and the goods arrived as described and very quickly. No worries here. Thanks Carl Cheers Dunc

11.
Oh no, I just read that he "May not ship to United Kingdom".
For that sort of money, I should imagine he would cycle to Syria and hand deliver it!
12. It's 38mm through my iffy eyes this morning!
13.
I think we need to combine our cabs, itsmedunc, then we can BOTH experience the combination. Second thoughts, that sounds a bit GAS inducing...
If you ever want to try out the combination, it's easily do-able! I'm sure I'd love the sound of the pair!
14.
If you already have a Midget and you've ever wondered why people pair the Midget with the Compact, then this is your chance to find out on the cheap. It works. It really works.
This is my plan! Just got the Mrs 2 bottles of red...
15. Do you get wafers with it? Sorry, couldn't resist! I'm working on a cunning plan though!
16. Traded this a little while ago for a project but again the project is a no go! Nice bass, plays well and since I got it, it's been hanging on the wall. Approx 38mm at the nut. A much better description and pics than I can give are in the link below (hope you don't mind). http://basschat.co.uk/topic/269008-traded-gone-westone-thunder-jet-unique-figured-top/page__p__2863763__hl__westone%20jet__fromsearch__1#entry2863763 Collect, meet up or arrange your own courier. I'll make sure it's packed well. Would prefer to ship with neck off. May trade.
17. Read somewhere (perhaps Talkbass) that the body on a Standard is agathis and alder on the Affinity.
18. I remember one with an aura around it?
19. Looks other worldly! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bass-guitar-/171987817172?hash=item280b45d2d4:g:TfkAAOSwI-BWOKa~ No less than £100 or make an offer?
20. Hi Roj, most noticibly, strap button on head missing. Pity the bridge and pups aren't visible. As above cloth wiring and green cap. Think it should have EX printed too but my JV 57 doesn't have any date written on the heel as I recall. I'm sure the holes were already in the plate for the covers but I dont think the body was originally drilled for them. Not sure about holes for a thumbest? Theres a few JV's in the links below that hopefully will sort any doubts out. Looks ok to me. 21 frets is the place to go though... http://innadaze.blogspot.co.uk/2010/08/1983-jv-62-fender-precision-bass.html http://basschat.co.uk/topic/225016-now-sold-1982-jv-squier-62-ri-precision-sunburstrosewood-l600/ http://basschat.co.uk/topic/198338-withdrawn-squier-jv-precision-sunburst/ http://fenderbass.vraiforum.com/t2115-SQUIER-Precision-Bass-RI-62-serie-JV.htm http://www.gitarr.info/squier/pbas.html
21. Well used but works fine. Very loud. Useful kick back. Mic goes straight in, mini mixer. Variety of uses. Even put your bass through. Collection from Blackburn Lancs/possibe meet up. Will box up if you want to send your own courier
22. Lovely basses these. Title should read Crafted in Japan/CIJ though as I'm sure it will attract more interest.
23. These are worth every penny. Great sound and playability. Got one recently and went giddy. I play bass. I don't do giddy....
