  1. I've managed to get a couple more pics of the rear posted jut in case they can shed any light to anyone. I also emailed RCF last night with serials to try and find out MK and age.
  2. I'm not sure but always presumed they were. Does it actually say on the labe!l?
  3. No extra for me unfortunately. Just a house full of gear that I have to store and carry to and fro. 😔
  4. Waiting on a sale of the RCF's. The FR800's will be withdrawn when the sale is complete. Thanks for the interest everyone. £1600 for the RCF's and £2000 for the BF FR800's. May do some sort of trade with a BF LF1400. May PX with cash my way. Fender, Squier VI, Basses, guitars, audio interface, field recorder, macbook etc etc. Just try me. RCF 745 - Not sure about this sale but I'll see what happens. UPDATE - RCF replied to an email I sent them this morning. Quite an interesting read really. According to them we are all mis-informed about the 745 model numbers! There were no MK2 or Mk3's. Straight from the original to MK4! Confusing stuff... Dear Duncan, the speaker QBQP02188 has been manufactured in February 2016; it is the ART ART745-A 230V (the generation before MK4, there were no MK2 or MK3 of the ART 745-A) Hope it helps thanks and regards Customer Service RCF S.p.A. Via Raffaello, 13 - 42124 Reggio Emilia - Italy Tel. +39 0522 274 411 - Fax: +39 0522 232 428 www.rcfaudio.com I bought them from another BC'er (Geddys Nose) a while back and literally have not been used in any form of anger. He bought them but bought an Evox 12 rig not long after and so didn't use them either. Fantastic piece of kit and in great condition.. Read any review or just search on here. Great condition. You don't even have to take them out of the covers to gig them! Barefaced - Barefaced FR800's which I bought brand new about 18 months ago. Hardly used in that time. Both in great condition. Whichever pair sell first, I'll keep the other. Reason for sale is - I'm tired of being the PA bloke / bass player and they are not being used enough to justify having both pairs. Will get some better pics when I can make a bit more space to get at them! Will consider shipping at buyers cost. I still have the original BF packaging. Sorry, UK only sale as I'm sick of being charged ludicrously high bank fees on non U.K. sales. .
  5. Hand on heart, I cannot make head nor tail of what the original post is about? I'm 53 and maybe out of the loop? It's really alien. Or, maybe it's how fekin ludicrous folk can behave? I've been doing this for decades and I've never heard anything like it? I've never used the term "snowflake" in any context but I can now see why folk do. Three bands turn up at a venue, only to be told that some fekin idiot has spat his (or her) dummy out (as the case may be) and so, all that effort by so many is now totally unrewarded and rudely cast aside? What a load of bollox (or flaps) as the case may be) I'm sorry to be so un-PC but I don't really give two feks for anybody's sexuality or political stance. We're all human beings. Live and let live are my thoughts. Name the venue, so that no-one else will go to the trouble of turning up there.
  6. Thanks for the reply Karl. I just wish that my finances at the moment were far far better!
  7. In the early 90's I left a band that I really cared about. We were very good and a lot of work was put in. Unfortunately, I felt that I could no longer work with one of the members. I told them I'd finish the tour and then that was the end of it. That's exactly what happened. All the band knew why I left but they thought I'd go back, ironically including the offender. Basically the rest of the band were scared of this particular member and I'd had enough of the situation. I feel I fulfilled all my obligations to them. Another irony is that just recently we tried to reform and within 3 rehearsals we were back to the same situation. Well, apart from the rest of the lads weren't kids anymore and stood up for themselves. In a way it was a great thing to see. That was the end of that!
  8. That would certainly warm yer cockles on stage! 😂
  9. That neck looks lovely and shallow in the pics. What's it like in real life? Unfortunately Karl, I'm only going to be window shopping for a while...
  10. In the 90's we hired Peavey PA's a lot. For us they were great. Heavy but I was much younger then and we got them cheaper if we mucked in. I'm not particularly bothered about having a "modern sound", if one really exists? Unfortunately, for you, Peavey are no longer appreciated in that manner to some extent. I got offered tops, mids and bass cabs plus amps for free off a family member a few years ago but turned them down due to lack of storage. Still great gear but has to be realistically priced I suppose. An install, would be ideal.
  11. I would have thought that if they needed a bass player they would at least have a reasonable set list for you to learn. As a few previous replies have said, 50 is a joke. I'd bet money that even the Stones couldn't remember 50 of their tracks despite their age! Gig - time on stage = the amount of songs you need to and be expected to learn. What happens if they decide you are not for them? Or, far more importantly, what happens if they are not for you? There's a lot to think about there. The pressure of 50 is far too much and no-one in their right mind would expect you to learn that many. If they do, I'd seriously think about what's in the future for you. Maybe you need to talk with them a bit more and express your concerns. Don't worry about missing the gig. If they are worth playing for, they should understand that you can't start any job and know everything but you are willing to learn and do it well. After all, you are only human! If you fluently can learn 50 songs so quickly, get a job as a session musician and get paid decent money! 😀😀😀😀
  12. The feeling is mutual Kev. Great truly lightweight cabs too. I used to have pair of them but I mostly only really needed one. Silly money for one of these. Its a no brainer for anyone looking for a cab.
  13. What the fek have you done to me Karl!!!
  14. Does anyone live nearby to the seller? I'm quite interested in this and was wondering if any BC'er would be willing to go round and laugh hysterically for me. 😂
  15. Thank The Lord! I've got bass gear coming out my ears but I really wanted this! Much lack of sleep last night... Well done Paul!
  16. Pretty, pretty thing indeed. Pro gear. GLWTS
  17. Money laundering is the only explanation I can think of!
  18. Just what I'm after, just when I'm skint. Much better with the Staytrem bridges. I need a cunning plan!
  19. Ha! I spoke too soon. Or, too late!
  20. Looks like a great Jap bass but a great mod to the Squier too. Maybe holding back on your van could save you money in the long run! 😀😂😂😂
  21. Cheers Karl, if I wasn't as rough, I'd pop over to Accy. Not much chance though. I turned into Ciderman last night!
  22. I think BC member Geddys nose uses one of these with his band. He has been really positive about it. Drop him a PM. He is a genuine bloke and a nice fella to talk to. I'm sure (if that is what they are running) he will give you an honest account.
  23. Hi Karl, is the neck chunky like on the USA's? I've heard the Squiers are quite slim?
  24. Unfortunately, there are a few (very few) on here and many in the outside world born with a very worrying medical problem. They have a brush shoved so far up their bottom that even Dr Frankenstein could not remove it. It probably was there from birth and obviously as such they deserve concessions. Please don't be too harsh on the minority,, they know not what they do.
