    By trying to physically split the audience down the middle and then waffling on about each side hated each other etc. Stupid really. I was only a kid and thought it was really childish of them.

    Great band Fad Gadget. So different but still with it. I saw the post about the Dead Kennedys too. Great band but in the early 80's they played in Blackburn and tried to divide the audience and wanted us to fight. We'd been told about this before the gig as they did it the night before. When they tried it, we didn't take them on and told them to fook off. Unusual as we would have fought anyone in Blackburn. Great band who lost a lot of respect here unfortunately.

    I had 2 of their 4x8's. One the same and the other had the handle on the top. Run them with an Ashdown MiBass 400w head. Incredibly loud and full of Ashdown goodness. I'd be sorely tempted if you were closer. GLWTS

    Precision, Rik, Yamaha, Greco etc etc. Rounds, Fender, ampeg heads and cabs. Maybe knackered Marshall cab if you're there thinking JJ 😂. There were so many bands and differing gear available, it's hard to nail. Paul Simonon just used (and still does use) a heavy USA P bass and Ampeg gear. That setup is a no brainer. It's a quality all rounder really. He ditched the Rik.

    It sounds very old school indeed. I've tried re-recording some tracks with it what originally had a JV P and Jazz bass on and it worked really well. It has a big old thud and cuts through the mix remarkably. It sounds great to me, Jazz style profile neck, light, white with a maple board. All the things I love. To be honest I can't understand why it's up for sale!

    For sale if my lightweight (must be sub 8 1/2 lb) Shergold Marathon (not stereo). Lovely old bass with lots of character but I’m missing not having a Precision and so, as versatile as it is, I’m going to move it on. I got this from Ash of this very parish and due to Covid, it’s never left the house. This is not a collectors item and has some laquer crackling and dings and scuffs but nothing that affects it’s playability. Lovely low action and a sounds rather beasty! I have no hard case but will pack securely for postage at buyers cost and risk. Collection and trial preferred though. May trade for P Bass. A white one would be wonderful 😁 Might consider something MM. Maybe USA Sub etc The ghost is back to haunt me. Will consider Fender VI or similar string spacing VI. Condition colour not important as long as it plays well. May also consider something Barefaced.. Cash either way possible for the right bass.

    Great little mixer that isn't getting any use. Lots of info and good reviews online. Good condition, tiny footprint 8 channel mixer. I've only used it for home practice but it's an all singing live mixer too. Bluetooth your tracks to it and practice along. Only comes with the mixer, power supply and a little carry bag for transport. Does not include the iPad or iPhone. One of them is needed to connect to the mixer via the Mackie MixerConnect app (free to download). Works on Android too but I've never connected it that way. You can see in the pics the iOS versions I've been using it with. I do have the manual somewhere which I'll include if it turns up!     I used a Thunder 3 as my main bass for over 20 years. Great basses. I've still got a Thunder 2 MK2 (I think), it's basically the same as the Thunder 3 apart from the headstock logo. They do punch well above their weight but 2 grand for a 3 is very optimistic! 😂 Maybe he doesn't want to sell it and the other half has insisted that it goes up for sale 😂😁
