8.
i didn`t realise how [s]gay[/s] camp he seemed back then
I assume you are referring to mr thomas? I dont think hes camp. (Does anyone know if he is on the other bus?) He just seems nervous in front of the camera and a bit quiet and sensitive. Definately a case of an unfunky person being able to play extremely funky bass lines. I am going to watch some more of them on youtube tonight.
 9. Just watched it on you tube, bloody good actually.
 10. I would be quite interested in the dvds.
 11. I can barely remember it,i was just little but henry thomas was very square and they were always plugging synth axes.
 12.
I heard that the late Jaco Pastorius filled in the board of his J-Bass with everyday construction epoxy - something you should be able to get at any hardware store. Good luck!
It was pettits plastic wood filler,he used marine epoxy on the board.
 13.
Ha Ha, so would i, but shes a big girl, and im a small rooster YouMa..glad you said Molan....when she live??, to be honest i dont care about bass players..shes everything i love about music right there...
+100 the only true diva,i love her to bits, dream job would be playing behind her.
 14. i like impressing people with my playing, after all surely thats why i gig, to get a buzz make people get groovy and think im the dogs.I think if most people were honest thats why they play. What would the point of performing be if all i was going to do was go all buddhist on stage.
 15.
I ignored theory for years and years after leaving school thinking I didn't need it and that if I did learn it would somehow stifle my creativity. I relied on my ear for a long time and I reached a plateau in my playing and thought that I had found 'my level' upon which I could not improve. However a few months ago I picked up some theory books and made a real effort to learn to read and delve into harmony etc. It's been a difficult and sometimes frustrating experience but my playing has improved more in that time than in any previous amount of time and my passion for music (of all kinds) has increased. It's been an absolute revelation for me and I would recommend that anyone who feels that their playing has reached a plateau try it. Hallelujah! Praise the Chord!
+10 for the castor bunch avatar "Watch me Now!"
 16.
Only takes me about 15 mins to get to the Gallery from my office so I guess I'm a bit spoilt. Popped in this week & had a quick try out on a US Spector, a Skjold & a Ken Smith - all played through an Epifani 502 & matching Epi 4x10 cab
Well in that case i would probably be tying them in person as well.

 18.
What's the difference between Fender MIJ and CIJ? Is the CIJ reserved for reissues? Are CIJ instruments better built? Or is it just a marketing thing. Thanks, Derrick
f*** all unless you look at basses rather than play them.
 19. I would realy like a few transcriptions, i love the first few bass bits of rabbit and then in the verse it is quite funky really, gertcha,s good as well, gwor blimey!
 20.
I haven't tried a bass in a shop for about 10 years. I haven't been in a shop that had basses I wanted to play.
Same here, and why would i pay the extra money a shop charges? I take a chance when buying a bass i fancy and get the gen from forums or alumini who have recorded with it. My will to get better on bass comes from blowing people away in shops and impressing people at parties, i took it up because it feels right and its good to get girls.
 21. Edwards,Pastorius,Rainey, in no particular order.
