6. If you just stick to the root notes and add small pentatonic fills for colour tones you should be fine, the main thing in a song like this is not to over complicate,Danny thompson also has no frets so has that droney sound which is more suited to folk music. I would reccomend getting hold of any pentangle albums basket of light is brilliant and taught me a lot about folk playing. Hope this helps mate, folk music is an exciting music and i think it is a genre which is often overlooked by bassists.Good luck.
7. Hello all im flogging my VAMP PRO tone tool box, a very handy item but i have switched over to VSTs lately,so not getting any use. This is in as new condition the plastic protection is still on the readout,im looking for 60 quid posted.Cheers.
8. Have just updated with pix. Forgot to say the jawari (bone bridge) has been tunned properly by the company i bought it off this is one of the most important aspects in a working sitar. This sitars in fantastic condition (4 years old) and resonates very well, shame im not very good at playing it really.Cheers.
9. Who makes the midi controlers are they built into the pickups?
10. Can you not just follow the root notes of the chords hes finger picking, theres enough of em. I think that tunes in DADGAD tuning.
11.
worth checking out "highrise" by hawkwind, love the use on it cheers stuart
This guy has good taste Hawkwinds stuff is excellent especially the earlier stuff.
12. Subtle is the way to use these effects otherwise it just sounds weird. If used right it sounds like a filter sweep tracking along with your playing. I always find they tend to thin my sound out though.
13. I think the guy has an excellent ear (bastard) He seems to pick up stuff very quickly.
14. Very talented man,hes danish isnt he? Must have a trip over these scandanavians have a very funky scene.

21. I am selling my student sitar which i got from a pro indian instrument shop ,JAS musicals in southall (YouMa,s George harrison Ravi Shanker period) Its just a feeler to see if anyone wants to have a shot. Its full size with hard case and is in excellent condition,i only wanted it for samples, but now i have VSTs which make this a luxury item which is taking up to much room in me and mrs Youma,s house. I really dont know how much postage would be,its light but large,im after 100 quid, and we can talk about postage if any one is interested. Lord Krishna be with you.Cheers
22.
Heres a couple of Tubescreamer clone PCB's in progress - got the bug rekindled a few months ago. This sounds bloody marvellous! One of the sweetest harmonic distortion pedals I have come across. The original (Ibanez) tubescreamers were seen by some as the holy grails of distortion stompboxes. Apologies for hijacking your thread!
Are you using transfer paper to do your pcbs or just an etch resistant pen, apparently you can use the iron method with staples photo paper, although i have not tried it yet.By the way cheers for those drawings al.
23. I got hold of the 1973 WattStax festival, which was supposed to be the soul version of wood stock there is some excellent footage of issac hayes and his crazy wah wah band.
