1. I thought if something was for sale we had to state a price, not "open to offers"?
2. Thanks for the kind words gents. It genuinely is one of those guitars you pick up & think "how can they possibly make these at this price?". Found a clip of the 5 string version; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dNzHHyw-Sgw&feature=related
3. I remember these, they cost a fortune & had features I'd never seen before on a bass amp. I think the plan was to challenge TE in the UK boutique market but they disappeared almost overnight. Looking forward to the pics!
4. Hands down my favourite old-school combo, great vintage 'peg sound, looks cool & cheap as chips. Maybe help to tell folk whereabouts you are?
5. I have a very nice Cort RB4 Elrick 4 string for sale. These are very impressive basses, designed by Rob Elrick & made in the same Cort factory as some of the Lakland Skylines - so no surprises that the build quality is extremely good. The bass features a three piece maple neck with rosewood board, 5 bolt attachment to a 2 piece ash body with a flame maple top. Hardware is Hipshot, pickups are Bartolini MK1s with a Bart active circuit, controls are Vol (with push/pull for active / passive), Pan, Treble, Mid & Bass. The bass looks, sounds & plays like a quality instrument - I know Eubassix has compared the Cort version to the US version and was very impressed. Condition wise the bass is very clean but not mint. A few impressions in the wood but, due to the natural satin finish, you'll need to get within a foot to spot these. Oh, a previous owner relocated the rear strap post so there's a hole from the original. Bass is strung with a new set of Chromes & comes with a gigbag. I'd rather not ship the bass due to no hard case so collection or meet up within 50 miles of Teesside would be best. If that's a deal breaker I will try to find a suitable shipping carton & ship it providing you arrange the courier. So how much for all this lovely bassness? Just [s]£295[/s] £250 !!!!- the hardware would probably cost close to that on its own! Not interested in any trades - thank you. Any questions, please PM me as I struggle to get on BC at the minute due to other commitments. Mick
6. A series serial numbers appear on 84/85 era instruments & 1997/98 instruments so there may be confusion there, some Jap signatures start with an S - just to muddy the waters.
7. According to wiki, the MM Jazz was introduced in 1998.
8. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...:X:eRTM:GB:1123 Dates to end 76 / early 77 I believe.
9. Excellent basses these & you can't go wrong with Dave.
10.
IIRC Joyce was a Peavey man during The Smiths.
Up to 1984 when he switched to TE gear. Very underrated bass player, genuinely nice bloke too. Rourke was badly advised to settle with Morrissey & Marr out of court & got £10k, Joyce went to court & got £1m. Last I heard, Morrissey had refused to divvy up his share to Joyce, citing his US citizenship exempting him from British court rulings, w***er.
11. Lovely example & a good £200 cheaper than I've seen basses of this era go for recently. someone's going to get a bargain.
12. Can't believe this is still here, by a country mile this is the nicest modern 'ray I've ever seen. Anyone wavering, Javier is a splendid chap to deal with.
13. I've done business with the seller in the past, had no problems at all with him.
14. One copy of Alexis Sklarevski's Slap Bass Program. Shocking 80s fashion, shocking 80s glasses, shocking 80s production values - but widely acknowledged as the best slap instructional video ever made. £15 delivered.
15. According to the box they are the EMG-J set, the classic active Jazz pick ups they have made for years.
16. Bump - now returned to stock with the 64 CS pickups & wiring harness. Could I hell get the tone knob grub screw to tighten up so I've used a dab of adhesive to secure it. If you want a new knob (& who doesn't?) it'll only cost a few quid.
