1. For sale, a set of the latest EMG Jazz bass pickups that I've removed from my relic Jazz. These feature the quick connect system so no soldering is needed & are the USA sizes (slightly larger bridge pickup), comes with original box & instructions. Eighty squids to your door. 2. EMGs are active pick ups with vol, vol, passive tone. The battery sits in the control cavity, no modifactions or routes needed to gaurd, body or control plate as EMG use mini pots which leaves space for a 9 volt battery.
3. Your choice Gareth, I'll swap out the EMGs with the CS64 pickups if you prefer.
4. Not sure what the problem is, it's just a stock Custom Shop '64 Relic Jazz Bass, exactly what the seller says it is.
5. Looks like Mr "I'm an expert, I've been playing 10 years" has been slapped down by a few people.
6. Amen. It certainly has been discussed before, the seller is trying to turn a bog-standard MIM Jazz into an entirely different instrument. Delusional.
7. Reading this it would appear it has been appraised as 1971 Strat with just the neck & body being later, non-Fender replacements. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1971-USA-Fender-Stra...6#ht_500wt_1156
8. Offering my Hipshot vintage bridge which is a direct replacement for 5 screw Fender type units. These are excellent replacement bridges, much more solid than the standard bent metal Fender type. Nowhere near as ugly as a Badass & no issues getting a low action with this unit either. £65 +P&P new, £35 delivered.
9. Now sold, thanks for all the interest! For sale, a barely used Nordy NP4 precision pick up. Usual Nordy quality, excellent, vintage toned P bass pick up, comes with the box, covers & mounting screws. Cost £110 + P&P new, £75 delivered.
10. Yeah, George Gruhn is considered one of the worlds foremost experts on vintage guitars.
11. Bump for price drop.
12. Is this the same bass as the one on eBay with a BiN of £1850?
13. Additional picture type bump. Have priced shipping up this afternoon, call it £520 all in.
14. Thanks for the kind words gents. Small Bank Holiday bump with a couple of new shots.
15. Indeed but I have fixed the castors, had it checked by an electrical engineer & cleaned 3 years of grunge off it, if it's considered bad etiquette to cover off my additional costs I'll happily pull the add. Nothing wrong with the amp, it sounds fantastic but due to personal reasons I will likely not be picking a guitar up again for the foreseeable future.
16. Sold - thanks for all the interest. Now sadly discontinued, this is a great "old school" combo that pumps out a very loud 100 watts in to a 1x15, rear ported speaker. These are very highly regarded amps & get impossibly close to the B15-N Portaflex sound, check out Talk Bass for a wealth of glowing testimonies. Condition is generally good, a few scuffs on the diamond tolex but it just adds to the vintage vibe. A lot of amp for £250. You'll need to collect this from sunny Teesside I'm afraid as it's no neodymium lightweight & I don't have a box big enough for it .
