1. Sold Pending the usual. Without going in to the grim details I am going to have to take an extended hiatus from music so my little collection is up for sale. This is a splendid Fender CS Relic Jazz bass in one of the best sunbursts I've seen, a real "bullseye" 'burst with plenty of red. I'll not bore you with all the standard details, you'll all know these are great basses but this one appeals because it is a light relic with just few marks & lots of very subtle checking. As a result it looks a lot more believable than some of the belt sander jobs out there. Bass comes with the Fender tweed case, covers, strap & Custom Shop COA - you have a choice of pickups, the excellent EMGs currently in place or the original Fender CS64 units. I prefer the EMGs but I know they are not everyone's cuppa Darjeeling. Price is [s]£1500[/s] [s]£1450[/s] [s]£1375[/s] £1300, if you want to try it out I'm just south of Middlesbrough. If you want it shipped I'll pack it but can you arrange a courier to collect please. Really could do with moving this on as it's sat gathering dust & the money will come in handy - £1200, does that sound like a bargain?
2. Blimey! the pickups & hardware would cost you that alone!
3. The country of origin makes no odds to me, I've played gems & dogs from Japan, Mexico & USA. Try a few & buy with your ears, not your map.
4. Owned one & really liked it. Down side - the fan is a little noisy Up side - Sounds like a proper Ampeg, very portable, it's a loud 150 watts.
5. Offering my Mark Bass CMD 102p combo for sale. I'll not bore you with all the guff about this, suffice to say it has the Mark Bass sound, is very loud & very light. Condition is good but it has been gigged so it's not 100%, a few scuffs & marks but no tears & it works perfectly. No box to ship it I'm afraid so it's for collection from the Teesside area. Sold - thanks.
6. My standard comment on Road Worns - the most impressive product from Fender since the original JV models.
7. I don't see an issue provided all private avenues have been exhausted, as appears to be the case. As mentioned earlier in the thread, this forum relies on reputation & it is utterly pointless to allow positive comments & not negative. The seller has the opportunity to make his case & people can then make an informed decision form there.
8. Bump! Now returned to stock with original bridge & pickup. Awesome P bass with a lovely skinny neck & super low action, you'll not find better at this price.
9. LOVE this Jazz & at this price it is a genuine bargain. Javier is a great guy to deal with too.
10. Price drop, needs to go before the wife gets out of hospital.
11. Hi Pete 1.6 inches, much nearer a Jazz than a Precision.
12. SOLD - Thanks for the interest. Offered for sale is my neglected Fender CIJ Precision bass that I bought from Guybrush Threepwood. Since re-aquiring my Stingray from Rastaman this has been criminally ignored so I'm moving it on. Lovely 3 piece ash body (although it looks like 1 piece due to the excellent grain match), a very unusual quarter-sawn maple neck (never seen this outside of CS models) 1.6 inches at the nut, CTS pots, switchcraft jack, orange drop cap, cloth/wax wiring. Sounds like a P bass should & Guybrush has set it up superbly, impossibly low action but no buzzing, just slapped a new set of Chromes on her too. There are a few dings on the bass, evidence it has earned its living, but the natural finish means these are not that obvious, note that I have removed the Hipshot bridge & replaced it with the original Fender unit. I've owned dozens of P basses & this is in the top 3 in terms of looks, feel & sound. I paid £575 for it but it needs to go so it's a straight £500 + shipping.
13. Yowser, she's a beauty - if I was anywhere near Sussex my bank account would be taking a big hit!
14. [s]For sale is a mint Seymour SPB1 P bass pickup. This is the vintage correct version, modelled on the 1957 Fender unit, no silly mid-range boosts or high output carry on, just the quintessential original Precision tone. Boxed with all the bits including unused screws & rubber tubing. £35 delivered in the UK.[/s] Thanks for the interest folks - now sold.
15. Ironically I was digging my P bass too much! These RW models are superb, my favourite current Fender product & the Jazz was a killer, I'd hang fire with your current price - if someone wants one it will sell & it is worth it.
16. Times are hard, witness my RW Jazz which made £725 with a set of Seymour Antiquities, CTS pots, chromes & a hard case. People just aren't spending - great for buyers, terrible for sellers.
17. Now sold - thanks! Well, would you Adam & Eve it? A Mark Bass CMD102P has just landed in my lap for a price that was too good to turn down. That means this lovely Fender Bassman TV Twelve has to make way.
Valve pre-amp in to a 150 watt Class D power amp. Single 12 inch speaker Line out XLR with ground lift Gain, bass, middle, treble & volume controls with deep & bright switch Entirely passive EQ section Controls go to 12 which is 2 louder
Folks on Talkbass have gigged theirs in smaller venues & the response has been entirely positive, it has that old-school warmth of tone & you will get some nice growl with the gain cranked up. Great with a P bass & flats! Just over a month old, immaculate condition with all the instructions, hang tags, invoice & shipping box. I paid £684 so how does £499 including mainland shipping sound? If you want to collect from Teesside & save me a job I'll let it go for £470. 18.
Unless it's for butt plugs or dodgy fetish magazines I can't see why the IDs should be completely private.
Phew! Hot in here, no?
19. Yowser - that's lovely!
20. Bit late leaving this but Si bought my P bass & was a pleasure to business with.
