7.
I agree - sometimes when i'm playing with my setup at home, i get a little dissatisfied with the sound, but as soon as i'm practicing with the band, i remember exactly why i bought it in the first place Btw, those filters are extremely powerful, especially in a band environment - i have both at 9 o'clock, works great for me, but you may find different settings suit your setup better....
I found with my LM2 that for home practise you just dont get the tone at low volume unless you set the master at 12 o'clock and use the gain for volume control. For gigging I find I also prefer both filters at 9 or 10 o'clock, all other tones flat. Regards Will.
 8. Great Guy --- Just bought his excellent Bag End Cab. from him. In great condition and very good sound from such a small cabinet, --- Cheers Mate --a pleasure to do business with you! Regards Will.
 9. Hi The screened cables from the pickups look to have been cut very short! How long are they? Will.
 10. Just bought a shedload of Flatwound Strings from Stuart, great Guy - excellent communication and express delivery. Only problem is I will have to buy some more basses to put them on Regards Will.
 11.
Has anyone used ULTRALIFE lithium batteries? Its claimed they last 5 times longer than normal 9v batts, but I'm sure I heard somewhere that they are marginally larger and might be a bit of a squeeze in some battery compartments
Hi I use Ultralife Lithium. They are slightly larger than standard, but fit in my Urge bass and Yamaha NE-2 pedal with no problem. Regards Will.

 15.
Right guys, I have an EBS 2x10 and 15, which are both rated at 4ohms (which as I know = 2). The problem is my head is a Gallien Krueger 700RB11 which says on the back, you can only run 1x4ohm cab. Is there any way round this without buying a new amp!! Also would I ruin something if I ran them anyway!? Im not amazingly clued up in this dept!! Paul
You could wire them in series to give you 8 ohms. Helpful site here http://colomar.com/Shavano/2x12wiring.html Regards Will.
 16. +1 For Switchcraft every time for Jack Outputs.
 17. (Cool , I may well have to look into the model J's , has the bass response improved since the swap? as the sound on my bass at the moment is a little on the bright side and I am looking for something a bit deeper and with killer punch ) Quote -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Yes the bottom end is Trouser flapping, but not muddy. Although my Mark Bass LMII and BFM Omni15 cab certainly help matters. You are welcome to come and compare it if you are in the Leeds area. Regards Will.
 18.
Sorry if this seems like a dumb question, I have recently aquired a MIM Fender Urge MX Bass , it has a 2 band eq (bass/treble) which is powered by a 9 volt battery , does this mean that I can use active pickups ? Will the single 9 volt battery provide enough juice for the pickups ? I am currently looking into replacement pickups for this bass and don't want to limit myself to passive pickups if I dont have to.
Hi For what its worth I have just acquired the same model MIM Urge bass and I swopped the original noisy PUPS for my fav. DiMarzio Model Js. ( Passive ) Really pleased with the sound ( and the lack of Hum and Microphony ). Regards Will.
