    For me it was the Bass player in my band ... He got seriously ill and had to quit playing live , the options were to fold the band , get a new bassist or for me to switch from guitar to bass ... I started filling in on bass for rehearsals until we decided what we were going to do and just stuck at it .

    I just bought an EBMM Stingray 5 ltd form Chris , absolute gent to do business with , bass was well packed delivered next day , all communications very friendly , I wouldn't hesitate to buy another bass from him ....     I've just got an all new rig , just in time for tonight's rehearsal , Squier 60's CV P bass and a TC BG250 ... And what with the Stingray 5 lts that's on it's way from Chris Horton it's been an expensive but fulfilling week , pics to come when the Stingray arrives...

    I played guitar in my Motown/Functions band for 18 years and I was always just going through the motions , a switch to Bass (learning the 'proper' parts) , and alot of hard work and the smile has come back during rehearsal . We did a charidee gig in October with a string quartet and 4 piece Brass section , lots of hard work but the feeling and smile lasted weeks and gave us all a renewed enthusiasm. So we added a second keyboard player to cover more parts and the smile has turned to a grin

    Ah , life is never simple is it ! The bit that has gone is the shaft that fits into the 'elephants ear' , the ear bit fell off in my hand and the part that fit inside it had split in 2 and half sheared off completely ... the gearing is all good , just stuck at D . Stu
