1. Yeah it was the reality tour that was just on , only a 1 hour programme but a great way to start a sunny Sunday morning
2. Diamonds on the soles of her shoes Bass Cover Here's a good cover of the Diamonds Bassline . it's not me .
3.
and a whole lot of fart
???
4.
There's some video clips of the palatino(sp?) on youtube. I don't like the tone very much, tbh. The Stagg clips on here sound more promising.
I've just had a wee search of youchoob , the palatino clips are uninspiring to say the least but a quick search for "stagg edb" brings up a few tunes played by a french fella that sound excellent considering that its a staight in to the desk sound - no amps or effects . No wonder Staggs are out of stock again at Zings and Normans .... GRRRRRR
5. I seem to remember on the Gracelands classic albums programme that when they were listening back to the tracks in isolation there were both backwards and forwards bass tracks for the solo in YCCMA . As for the African bass sound in general I think the main thing is that is a fretless bass played very acurately with minimal string vibrato .
6. I just bought his noise suppressor - very quick delivery and a no hassle transaction . Thanks Terry
7. I had one of these in the early 90's , I used it as a guitar rig with a sound city 4x12 . Great piece of kit for guitar or bass and a VERY LOUD 135watts !
8. Fair enough , best of luck with the sale dude .
9. I've sort of been interested since you first mentioned it on Musicradar/Intermusic forums . Just need to raise some funds ... unless you want to trade anything?
10. Dan bought an Akai Headrush of me a while back , arrived on time with cash in his hand . Top fella !
11. Make sure you've practiced standing up if you're going to be playing standing up which I presume you are . You'd be suprised at the difference it makes if you've learned something note perfect whilst sat down in the bedroom and go to play it for the first time stood up , the whole Bass seems to shift 2 frets away from you. and as others have said relax and enjoy it !
12.
Just inform your local plod that you've been offered an expensive piece of stolen property?
Now that is an excellent idea!
13. This is very probably a stupid question but why have the thumbrest below the stings like that ? (presuming that is a thumbrest that is )
14. Singers who arrive for soundcheck late so avoid the carrying of weighty P.A gear in to the venue , still can't remember the words to songs we have rehearsed a hundred times and then always have an excuse to leave early and avoid the loading of the van !
15. I love a bit of KC and the Sunshine band , always fills the dancefloor !
16. Blame it on the Boogie - The Jacksons ... Awesome Bass riffage !
17. I bought his Harley Benton BeatBass this morning . He drove all the way from Kent to Hertfordshire to deliver it , arrived on time and is a very nice chap indeed !
18. +1 on Billy Sheehan , saw him play with Vai and thought his sound was pants and his bass solo bored me to tears !
19. I asked a question about Bass rigs on the MusicRadar forum and someone pointed me in this direction and now I stay here more often than I go there
