Sorry all, forgot this. PM’s replied to, but I’ll add it here: It is 8lbs 8oz, or 4kg. I messaged many retailers and went with the lightest one available! Bought blind from Andertons in April 2021, which worked out well as it’s a superb example of a P bass.

2020 model, barely used and in new condition, with plastic still on scratch plate! Set up with new Fender nickel strings and comes with the original SKB style hard shell case. Fantastic playing and sounding bass, with a really good, strong low B. Unfortunate change in circumstances forces sale!

Owned this for a month or so, it has never left the house. It really does sound great, it’s tight and punchy and very loud. It really is a solid set up, and the amp has some great and useable features. So, why am I selling? (Very) Long story short, I’ve moved out of the family home and suddenly don’t have space and need the money. I bought it brand new for about £470ish - as it was a great deal. I’ve since picked up the official Ashdown bag for the amp and a nice Roqsolid cover for the cab. so I’m hoping that I’m asking a fair price. I can get better pics on request, just may need a day or two. Cheers 😊

Same 😂 I’m from 1986 too, this has nothing on my dodgy knees and rapidly expanding bald patch! I’d love to take this for the (slightly cringe) YOB thing, whack on some very heavy flats and permanently wedge a chunky bit of foam under them. I’d say “I’ll be back when mine sells”, but this will be long gone by then!

It is lighter than my short scale Precision and better balanced! every time I’ve handed it to somebody they’ve been pleasantly surprised! Yes… that whole situation. A shame. If you can find one in your area I’d wholeheartedly recommend them. Weight aside, they’re just really great jazz basses. The low B is fantastic too!

Did a deal on this with a good friend, but we had to call it off. So, it’s now back with me for another half-hearted attempt to part with it! it’s a wonderful jazz V, that I love but don’t really need, which is why I’ve not resorted to eBay yet. Which will probably be my next step as I’d like to put the cash elsewhere. It has a great sound and it plays like a dream. The action is low the length of the fretboard without any buzzes or rattles. It really is very well setup and very stable. It’s typical Sandberg quality, handmade in Germany and features a Norwegian maple neck, cedar body, aluminium hardware, Black Label pickups coupled with Sandberg’s usual 2 band EQ. The volume pot also acts as a push/pull to bypass the preamp and run in passive mode. It weighs in at 2.9kg, but balances exceptionally well. The weight savings run across the bass. It is NOT a case of lightweight body but everything else remains the same. It balances very well, just happens to be significantly lighter than average! I can include an as-new Music Area aa35 case, which is a hard case/gigbag hybrid, costing £160 new, as well as the Sandberg gig bag. Trades, please message me.
