  1. I agree completely! I bought it out of curiosity from @Quatschmacher a week or two ago out of curiosity (think it was a saturday night purchase!) but I have realised once again that I don't need a filter pedal. It is in exactly the same condition as when I received it.
  2. Withdrawn. Gonna put it back in a combo and sell it that way.
  3. hi, looking to clear out these pedals. All in full working order with no problems. Boss and EBS ones are 100% as good as new, Broughton one has some sign of use on the base but very clean. EBS Multicomp - [SOLD] Broughton Joshwah : [SOLD] BOSS OC3: Good as new and in the original box. £60 posted in the UK

  5. Hi, lovely cab. I am trying to resist temptation here ... Is it 8ohm? Or 4ohm??

  7. My guess ... It's a masking problem ... you need a band chat about how to make space for one another in the mix. Also, make sure you aren't short on 80hz -160hz band energy as that's where you can win the arms race and still gain audible volume. You can have lots of sub / deep bass going on but it's not always that effective in terms of loudness.
  8. Most tuners pass power through, so you only need to power the tuner and it powers a pedal. For just a sansamp and tuner that's the way to do it.
  9. Jammys (Mark) bought by Ashdown combo. Really smooth transaction and communication. Trade with confidence folks. We used Paypal friends n family and had no issues at all.
  10. I've had mixed experiences such that I firmly believe it to be something that is inherently risky. The difference between courier firms in general is much smaller than the difference between individual drivers. As in, it'd fail an ANOVA test (a jest for the statisticians). Unfortunately, there is no way to know which driver you'll get, or what mood they'll be in. Honestly the only way to reduce the risk of it ending badly is not insurance but very and I mean extremely careful and robust packaging. For an instrument a hard case is essential I reckon.
  11. @agedhorse you just became my life and career coach as well as my bass guru. Can I buy any agedhorse merch??

  13. Respectfully as always ... I've recently done this. Advertised an amp for local collection or said I'd be happy to package it up for the buyer's courier. As I see it, this makes it available to someone at the other end of the country and makes it the buyer's decision about what to do. No one's arm is being twisted and ownership of the costs, responsibility and risks of shipping are very clear. I can't see how that is bad practice to be honest. I think maybe the difference is between the seller offering to play ball with the buyer's courier (which is what I did recently) and the seller organising a courier but insisting that the risk is on the buyer. Is that what you mean?

  15. Ashdown ABM NEO C115h Combo: UK made, 400w Lightweight Bass Amp . I bought it new a while back and have never used outside my home... bought it for a band project that never happened It is very compact and has good side mounted recessed handles so is easy to carry (weighs about 18kg I think). Narrow enough to get through doors and stairways easily. Has all the usual ABM features: tube preamp, flexible Eq, compression and sub octave, all of which can be switched using the ashdown footwsitch (not included). Has an 8ohm 15inch SICA driver, 2 ports and a horn. Price is for collection. Happy to box it securely for your courier.
  16. EBS MICROBASS 3 in mint condition, £260 posted within UK Ving mini HPF, mint £60 posted within UK.

  18. It is solid state. Ashdown ABM, it has a tube, but only in the preamp. The power stage is either Class D (for the ABM 400 or 1000 'lite' amps) or Class AB on the others. The one I am using here is a 400 lite. Thanks Bill

    16ohms

hi folks, Bet this has been asked before but can't find a solid answer... Am I OK running my amp (Ashdown ABM) with a 16ohm cab? I know that doing so will reduce power compared to an 8ohm cab, I don't mind that, but is it going to do any damage to the head at all. I think not, but want to be sure. The idea is to run a very portable 16ohm 1x10 cab that would see about 1/4 of the rated power of the amp as a little practice amp, leaving me free to add an 8ohm 2x10 (and a third cab if i was really in need of volume, but I can't see that ever happening). That way the three 10 inch drivers each see the same amp power. I can imagine folk wondering why not just 2 x 210s, but I want to keep one cab v compact. Cheers all.
